Free Promotions

Just noticed something weird under my promotional offers.  I have a basic store and so get the 250 + 250. Just checked now to see how many I had left to use up today and it is showing 3 other promotional offers. List 50 of your items for free (auction or fixed) Premium Store Subscription - 1000 Fixed Price Listing and Anchor Store 10,000 fixed price. All are showing I have the full amount left with the dates of Feb. 1/18 to Mar 1/18.  Wondering if this is showing for anyone else. Not that I can use any of them up before midnight tonight but just thought it was kind of funny.

Hoping I don't get charged for a premium & anchor store on my invoice!!

Re: Free Promotions

Yes, the fees charge.

Just got off the phone with ebay - only 20 min wait.

I was told to go ahead and list - I should automatically get a credit once it is fixed.  He also sold me a bridge in Brooklyn.

They are aware of the problem - said it is massive and should be fixed real soon.

Re: Free Promotions

Thought this thread should really have a tag .... screw-up of the year.

Re: Free Promotions

Just listed a few on both .CA and .COM and the free listings are working again.

Still have bogus stores showing -- but I'll take the current fix to finish my last few free listings for the month.

Re: Free Promotions

So is there any insertion fees being charged on these glitched promo free listings?

Re: Free Promotions

There probably will be. But we won't see the charges until next year at which point we will get a late payment charge for them.

Has anyone confirmed if this promo actually works?

Re: Free Promotions

No, they don’t. If you mean the sudden appearance of Anchor Store subscriptions, no. We didn’t suddenly all get 10,000 free BINs.

The ‘free’ reference earlier was to existing store subscription listings not yet used. At the same time ebay was adding fictional Stores to every user ID, it was trying to charge for the ‘free’ paid-by-subscription listings included in the user’s actual store allotment. A total mess-up.

Re: Free Promotions

The folks earlier in the thread who were all jubilant about gettting free Stores of every level, were doing so tongue-in-cheek. The only listing ‘promotions’ running at the moment* are no doubt the ones that actual store subscribers pay for so you can’t really count those as proper promotions.

*There was an invitation-only listing promo a week or two ago. If your been invited, you’d know it. It went to a select few. That promo wasn’t being reported as shown in this glitch.
