It is very interesting to see where all one shows up when one googles one's ebay id.....
I happened across pictures related to my ebay id and/or name and there were some interesting blogs, reviews etc! One never knows what all is out there! Some of them I have no idea why they are related to me but I didn't spend hours expanding on them either...
I checked myself out on this site and I'm dropping fast.... because of the week I shut down for the CP stuff, and of course my store is closed as I'm on ebay vacation now....

"I checked myself out on this site and I'm dropping fast...."
Do you mean your seller ranking?

I'm always amazed by all the third-party selling sites that do little more than collect ebay data on listings and reformat the page to make it look like they host the sales. What could possibly be in it for them? Clicks?

"What could possibly be in it for them?"
I don't know, but I'm definitely not complaining....

Like, what's in it for these guys? This is my listing and it links to ebay.ca but there is nothing utterly remarkable about this product other than that it is available and I sell it. I mean, it's good and everything but.......?

Everytime soemone clicks through from that site to ebay and buys something, whether its that item or something else, that site gets the affiliate payment % of the fees ebay gets

Or random listings of mine that show up on other sites, clearly pulled from ebay, the names of which I probably cannot mention or link towards. Like, totally random. I don't get it.

Well, there's nothing better then free advertising.
The more sites that advertise your items the better is for you.
Just embrace it with open arms!

That's great. Let us know if it makes a difference and you get a rush of sales.

Yep I think the this month I dropped a lot in the month to month comparison....can't remember the wording....

Sales are still traditionally slow during the Summer months but on-line shopping should pick up as people return from their holidays and kids return to school in early September.
I did notice an increase in followers over the last few months.....

It's almost impossible to compete in the vast eBay world in terms of sales numbers.....

Riiiiight. Now I remember and get it. I called ebay once a few years ago to ask about their affiliate program and how it worked, and the CSR told me it had been 'cancelled'. Maybe she thought I meant 'trading assistant'. I don't know, who knows?

There are a few sites in Canada who will give you back part of the money they get from ebay for you clicking through their site. One of them pays you 20%(used to be 30) of the ebay fees on the sale, so you can see j how much lower the fees for the big sellers are. Eg not top rated newegg is only paying 2.5% on the last thing I bought
