I have a buyer who just recently opened a case against me for an item not received. A little background first. Sold an item to an international buyer (Who never asked for a shipping quote although I ask international bidders to contact me for a quote in every item I list before bidding) the item was about a 50.00 sale (just a touch over) The buyer asked in a message for me to "Please, can you send me the ____ as gift or below $50,00 with shipping costs?" I invoiced the buyer with the cost of "light packet international" (Canadian Seller) and that came to just over $20.00 after marking the item shipped a few days later I receive a message asking for a tracking number.
I told the buyer (paraphrasing) "Hello ____ I marked your item as a gift on the customs form. If I was to send it with a tracking number it would have cost over $40.00 for shipping (which would have been much more than what he was requesting) I do have the customs form that I had to fill out if you want I can scan and send it to you with the receipt?"
The item sold on the 3rd of November 2013, Payment was received on the 6th I sent it out on the 7th (receipts and forms prove this). I received the request for tracking number message on the 9th of November. I replied to it on the same day, and I just had the case open on me now Feb 19th 2014. I have replied to the case with scans of everything front and back with the post office stamp on the back of the customs form to back up my claim that I did everything I could and was asked to do.
It has been 105 Days (+/- 1 Day) from the time that I have received payment and shipped to the case being opened...
Any other thoughts on my current situation would also be gladly welcomed.
Thank you for the input

That is a possibility however after posting the scan's of everything I just had the case closed by the buyer. The buyer said (paraphrasing) "forget it the game arrived today". It's possible that the game arrived today but.... It's also possible that the buyer was fishing.... if you get my drift... I'll just hope it was the former and not the latter.

The new deadline is 30 days after the last estimated delivery date.
In some cases no estimated delivery date is given in which case the time lines get muddy.
Where was this shipped to?

Brazil

Not really any help for you but I got a message from one of my Brazilian buyers last week, they just received the package I sent them on November 23rd.
Delivery time to Brazil can be very very slow, you may have just had a very patient buyer who waited as long as they possibly could.
