How do you send an invoice to a customer with the price that is agreed upon? I usually change the price of the item for the person to buy but I've had sellers send me the offer with the price agreed to.
I would prefer to send an invoice but do not know how to do that.
Thanks in advance!!

Has it already been purchased?
If not, get them to send you a question on that particular item. Then you can reply with an offer at the agreed price.
(to do this click on "REPLY" then in the top right corner look for "Send and Offer" tab to click on)
If it has been purchased, as far as I know you only option is to send them a direct invoice from PAYPAL but this is only if you know their email address which is hard to get via eBay unless they're a repeat customer. Otherwise they'll have to pay the full amount and you'd have to refund the difference.

You can also subtract an amount on the invoice as long as it isn't more than the shipping cost. If shipping is free you can't do it. I can't remember the exact wording but near the bottom of the invoice you ca add or subtract an amount on the invoice. If you want to take $5 off put it as -5.00. Don't hit recalculate as it will reset the total to the original amount. There is a preview invoice link that you can use to see if the total is right. Then send invoice.

Sorry I think I spoke too fast.
The buyer did send me a question about an item and now I would like to reply with an invoice with the amount agreed upon but I don't see the option to do that.
When I click on reply, I only see "send message", "attach photos", and "cancel".
Thanks!!

Nothing in the very top corner on the right side that says "send an offer"?
Hmm you are on .CA or .COM?
I live on .COM it might be only a .COM thing.
If you can't see on .CA, maybe try it on .COM???

Why don't you add the make an offer option to that listing?

When I login via .com and click on the reply button, it takes me back to .ca. So maybe it only works on sites originated on .com 😞
Thanks!

Good point PJ. Sometimes I forget about that.

Oh Goodness...
I made an offer to a buyer but in the email I don't see where I can reply with an offer. It's odd sometimes I see that option sometimes I don't. I checked both .com and .ca 😞
I also looked to see if I can send an invoice but I don't see that option either.
I was then going to add the offer option in the listing but I don't see where to put it - not sure if it's because the listing has "Variations".
Any ideas/suggestions?
Thanks!

An alternative to allowing offers is to create a special lot for the buyer.
I do this all the time. I use "special lot for partofbuyersid" as the title (I don't suggest using their whole userid). The description doesn't have to have anything in it, I use an empty picture for the picture then you can make the price exactly what the deal is worth.
Here's a recent example:
https://www.ebay.com/itm/Special-lot-for-kurtis/382335739025?hash=item5904fc6491:g:FesAAOSwdzVXmfR4
Note that I noticed these special lots were getting lots of views so I put some text and a link in to send the curious ones to my store...so far nobody has purchased someone elses special lot....
