People got used too not having instant payment anymore but honestly I think eBay should step up and get their sellers paid right away! Nowadays it gets rough and when I sell something there are times I NEED the money right away , I don’t even mind paying a small fee for it..
Anyway all I’m saying is if Paypal can do it eBay should be able too as well, oh and btw there’s this new platform called Whatnot that’s starting to take over the game ! Better step it up eBay !
It may really depend on the site how quickly or how slowly funds are received. I've seen notes on dot com about sellers seeing payment on the weekend. Discussion from UK and the goings on below.

EBay is now offering daily, weekly, biweekly and monthly transfers to our bank accounts.
Personally I like the default weekly "paycheque", but I can see why others should be available.
I don't use eBay labels, but I understand that if the customer's payment has cleared, even if the payment is still being Held for whatever reason, we can use the MP balance to buy labels just as we could with Paypal.
If the need is for immediate cash, eBay may offer a wide international market, but a garage sale, pawnshop or local classified site might be speedier than selling here.
Or a cash advance on a credit card. Just stay away from those payroll loan crooks.

If you want to be paid instantly then perhaps selling on eBay is not for you. Selling locally may get you your instant payment a lot quicker than eBay, but like anywhere else you still need to find the buyer who wants to purchase your item instantly!
eBay already now offers a variety of payout schedules. Pick the one that suits you. Not everyone is in need of instant cash - I have my payouts set to monthly.
and as to whatever new platform you are referencing, who cares?(other than you)... keep on a-dreaming there buddy!...New platforms come and go and have been doing so for the past 20 years...Many have tried and most have died trying to be "the next eBay". There is no site out there that will ever "take over the game !"
