To my awesome fellow EBAY sellers and bloggers
I have put my store on vacation for two weeks and have removed my 1300 listings. Between the postal strike and this tariff thing I don't think I can continue to put the time into EBAY to make it viable to sell on a bigger scale. In truth, my sales dropped dramatically since July of last year. I think likely reasons are bad economy and EBAYs poor management of the site. Margins are also decreasing steadily due to comission increases on items, shipping damages, INRs (skyrocketing) and shipping costs which also continue to increase due to carbon taxation. I am unsure...... I will decide in two weeks whether or not I will renew the store subscription for March. I think I will most likely cancel the store and sell inside Canada 50 items at a time and slowly clear out my stock between that and local auctions. It was a good run for the five years it lasted.....
Good luck to you all

That's a shame. You have one of the nicest stores around.
IE: 45 RPM Vinyl Record - Long John Baldry: "You've Lost That Lovin' Feeling"
A story about one of your items.
I used to be a member of the team that managed the stage at the Commordore Nightclub. Annually the Vancouvewr Food Bank's held a charity event called Blues for Christmas. Baldry and many others volunteered their time. I'm a big fan of his. The 1st year Long John Baldry performed he brought Kathi Mcdonald with him. While I was still onstage setting him up he introduced her and they broke into "You've Lost that Lovin Feeling". The sound of their combined voices in harmony was so amazing I forgot where I was. I stood onstage through the entire song... It was great to have him living in Vancouver for a time.
Best of luck with whatever choice you make!

" I’m also going to cancel my 2 US vacations for this year and go elsewhere."
Did that after T***P entered the previous term of office and have never gone back to the USA since and don't plan to ever do so again. In the meantime, enjoyed trips to Europe and in recent years have enjoyed trips to both east and west coasts of Canada. Visiting the Maritimes is a favorite. Love P.E.I.!

Only problem is I have a Florida Timeshare. It's a bit of a pain to rent it out but that is almost certainly gonna be what I do. On the plus side is will give me some extra cash to sepnd elsewhere. My daughters sports teams took us to eastern canada half a dozen times over the years so we are good on that front. would be nice to se what's west of ontario. lol

We have close family in Iowa, so we go down once or twice a year (but it's not really a vacation so much as a visit).
I've been travelling to Asia and Africa and taking Yen and Euros with me on my trips.

I will not be bullied into giving into a dictator's self-righteous agenda, so I shall march forward, especially so on my other selling site. I am of the belief that we Canadians need to stand up and be noticed, we need to push back; not crawl into a hole and let the bully win.

This was an OCED implementation, not Canada's decision, this was forced onto many countries as part of a global restructuring of the economic system.
And you will still have to give your SIN for your other "selling" venues, they are using AI to handle this and it is part of the new automatic tax returns that are getting slowly put in place in Western nations.
