Known Issue

Hi all!

Currently their is a known issues for where sellers are reporting that the Canada Post Expedited Lite shipping service does not appear on their listings for buyers, so Canadian buyers are unable to choose this service and pay for items.

 

There is an open ticket to resolve the issue as soon as possible under ALERT16201. If you reach out to customer support you can use that ticket number to have your account added as an example.

Known Issue

That is great that this issue is being looked into. I was wondering what is happening with the other issue about being charged double for all Expedited Lite parcels that are being sent across Canada. This has been going on for months now. I have been charged double 3 times now & am expecting more charges in the near future. These charges are happening many days apart & there are some sellers who are not even aware of this. So many of us are waiting to be credited for all the overcharges. This is a very serious problem that needs to be addressed.

Known Issue

If anyone has had expedited lite labels upcharged to full expedited rates via second charges and you know your packages were within the specifications avertised by ebay, contact ebaylabels@ebay.ca with your cases so they can 'investigate' them.

 

Ebay will not notify you that second charges were made, so anyone that has used Expedited Lite service should consider reviewing their transactions regularly for these extra Expedited Lite charges.

Devon, it's nice to see you posting a thread on this forum.

 

But why would we even use Expedited Lite to begin with if it isn't even being calculated properly and consistently overcharging sellers whose packages fit within the limits specified by eBay directly?

Hi Devon, unfortunately that's not the big issue with Expedited Lite. The major issue is that sellers are being blindly charged extra when using this shipping service. Money is being taken out of our accounts without our consent. This is the issue that needs to be fixed ASAP!

Known Issue

Has anyone received a resolution for this?? I Just checked my expedited lite labels and sure enough i was charged the full rate. I sent an email to the email listed in this thread but so far nothing, i just tried calling and was told i would be transfered to the shipping department but instead i was hung up on. 

 

The issues over the last year have been beyond ridiculuos with ebay and tariffs and post office, etc....

I still have the ebay Canada GM email from the last time you guys held funds for almost a month, I suppose i could reach out to him again....

Known Issue

I was charged again today for 2 more double charges. That is 5 overcharges so far now. I am sick & tired of no one fixing this.  My total is $44.61 in overcharges. I expect eBay to refund this to all it's Canadian sellers. Are we not dealing with enough stuff in the last few weeks? US Tarriffs, Canada Post strike & all these extra charges for Expedited Lite.

It seems like something may be getting done eventually...

There's been a response from Luke Bradley lubradley@ebay.ca (Product, operations and experience manager) someone posted on facebook, about them working on communications to sellers about being covered with 'more to come' as well.
