Markdown Manager does not work - 0 listings shown

I am trying to create a sale on Markdown manager.

Problem:

I list on ebay.com but since I am in Canada, when I go to "Manage Store",  it takes me to ebay.ca.

That is fine (it has always done that).

However, now when I try to create a sale (and it takes me to the new "create a promotion" page, when I get to the step "choose your listings" there are 0 listings to choose from.

The Markdown Manager used to work fine. I am guessing that the problem is that since they have changed things, the "Create a Promotion" does not see any listings for me on the Ebay.ca site.

Does this mean I now have to list on ebay.ca if I want to create a sale?

Markdown Manager does not work - 0 listings shown

After experimenting with the different ideas, I found one that works for me.

I have to click on Promotions (Markdown Manager no longer works for me).

Once I clicked on Promotions (in the left-hand menu - a couple of lines under Markdown Manager), then I have to click on "Create a Promotion"  (upper right) and choose the third option (markdown + sale event).

This takes me to the steps that allow me to choose a discount level and items (and it keeps me on the .COM site - which is the key).

I can now see my listings and create a sale. Any other method of trying to manage my store would always link me to .CA and I could not create a sale since it could not find any listings (as I mentioned, I list on .COM only).

Nothing like user-friendly (NOT).

Hi!

I also list most of my stuff on .COM

I am able as always to see my .COM items in markdown manager, however my store lives on .COM (and I pay in US$ as a result) so it is not likely a real comparison to your situation.

As an experiment, go to "my ebay" on .COM

Under the selling tools column along the left side, In addition to "manage store", can you see right below it (on mine at least) "markdown manager"?

If you can maybe that will work??

I haven't tried putting anything listed on .CA on sale yet, I'll have to experiment someday to see if I even can!

I think that listings on .com can be put on sale  through the sellers hub. As I am still use selling manager on both sites I haven’t actually tried this first hand, but I’m sure that is what the reps on eBay have told us.  I don’t think that it is called markdown mngr in sellers hub..perhaps it is sales manager??

Are you still using selling manager or sellers hub on .com?

I didn't know that I had options (or more likely forgot).

I had to go look, it says "sellers hub".....

I don't know if you have the option once you've started using sellers hub. I've just avoided changing to it since I use selling manager here. The older I get the less I like having to learn something new. lol

I didn't think that it was called markdown manager on sellers hub but I guess I was wrong.

As you mentioned, it works for you but not for the op  because your store was opened on .com rather than on .ca.

It really is too bad that they had to start separating things like that between the two sites.
