New categories-What a mess !

Seriously is someone trying to sabotage ebay ? I go to the antique category and where is porcelain? Before you could easily find all brands and different eras , now a complete and utter mess.

There have been complaints all over the categories.

It seems like some useful changes are being made (Item Specifics) but are being rolled out before the whole picture is available.

Complaints in Books, in Coins, in Sportscards.-- Like in Sportscards eBay appears to have dropped sub-categories like Baseball.

Sigh.

In the new setup Pottery & Glass is a top-level category, there are 2 sub categories, the first being Glass and the second Pottery & China.  Most if not all of the era/year/decade type subs have been removed across the board.

One sellers nightmare on dot com:

"Don't feel to bad, I've got 25,000 items listed, only 17k of them are asking for recommended item specifics. Luckily for me, my items are automotive related, so when my picture shows an engine, its pretty self explanatory where its located etc etc."

What is he going to discover when he doesn't fix what needs to be fixed? To quote John Lennon...."It's just like starting over".
