This morning went to create a expedited label to bc. At final processing the associated discount was a whopping 5%. Savings. 1.08. Checking Xpresspost no discount shown. Priority post discount would be 14 %. Substantially higher but as for accurate with UPS and Fedex. 76% & 46 % accordingly.
Shipment sent to Saskatoon by Expedited discount was 20% Savings 7.11 beginning of Sept. 3rd shipment to Edmonton 40%. Saving's 6.71. Discount if I had of shipped Xpresspost would have been 27%.
Anyone else seeing similar when they went to process today? Did the CP discounts that we werein play suddenly poof? There was nothing from eBay directly on this and there have been recent reports of major increases to the UPS rates sellers are now (Oct 2025) seeing.
Attempted to sign into CP account but got system errors. (Possibly due to everyone attempting to use CP today at the same time.)
In checking an additional a local (low weight) expedited shipment from end of Sept discount was 71 %. Appears discounts are more random with varying discount levels are inconsistant based on lower weights and distance vs cross the board.

Have not had a sale from eBay to be able to acquire first hand experience with the eBay shipping Label prices, but I did anticipate that those nice previously available CP discounts were gone...On my other selling site the CP discounts were also modified and decreased & not so attractive anymore. I utilized the CP site yesterday for SnapShip and was able to get some shipping quotes as I have a shipment to go out from a sale on my other selling site for which I had intended to ship via Purolator but as the shipment is to an APT bldg and the buyer is not responding with contact information that Purolator requires, I am having to re-think shipping method and probably having to go with Canada Post, but will wait until tomorrow in hopes that some of the backlog has been cleared...I do utilize the CP flat rate boxes for within Canada shipping whenever possible as most often cheaper than expedited parcel rates to those long-distance locations.

In the past eBay would put up a message when a special offer was extended. The demand surcharge for UPS was posted in May for 2 bucks. Because we can't see an actual break down of charges difficult to tell what is or isn't being charged with those dreaded accessorial charges. There was a note on US tracked packages being extended indefinitely in March. Last note for Discounts up to 44 % for expedited in Canada states end of August 2025 with no follow up confirming. I thought there was a follow up message on expedited lite but that is now MIA. There was another announcement regarding DHL and B2C orders over $800 being suspended in April. If you are using DHL and click on the link it advises that was retracted at the end of April.
As per always any followup when something has been resolved, terminated or modified is not always easy to locate.
IF the discounted rates have been either been reduced or cancelled it may be to encourage sellers to use eIS over cheaper outside methods. Maybe just conjecture on my part or is it? I've seen other posts thinking the same way.
As a side on the dot com forum anything mail or courier related gets posted PDarnedQ.

What I do know is that on my other selling site there was NO advance notice of the CP discount rates being changed...the decrease in discount "happened" and we sellers there found out about the decrease in the discount when we purchased the shipping labels through the site. Because there was no annoucement, no advance notice, we sellers on that the site had to assume that the site and CP did not renew the discount agreement...I suspect the same has happened here on eBay...For myself, I could care less about the eIS program I don't want it, don't need it, I am done with any shipping to the USA. I do not use any other shipping companies aside of Canada Post. However, IF I need an alternative to Canada Post, I will utilize Purolator, if/when/as necessary.

Follow up to original post:
This morning shipment from Calgary to Ontario
According to ebay labels discounted rate would be 25.17 - 4.10 with the discount. Total 21.07(Same rate for regular and expedited. Just different discounts.) Displays same with ebay calculator tool. 16 % Discount
According to CP counter rate tool regular comes in at 23.38 without the discount.
Definitely something going on under the hood with the CP discount and eBay Labels that needs to be corrected ASAP!!!! Other major question is how long has this been in going on? Base rates should mirror each other.
According to CP/ebay labels the discounted rate should be 23.38 - 3.74 = 19.64

Can you compare the price using an address you've already shipped to? I just checked and it's give or take the same as before. Like I've mentioned, the calculated shipping cost formula is bugged, the cost is overdiscounted, which is why people are getting billed $2-$3 extra compared to when the label was purchased. It's most likely because of the promotion that ended in August, as mentioned by others. Seems like neither eBay nor Canada Post will rectify that anytime soon.

The calculations work out(compares) exactly the same using an older shipment with similar type discrepancy. Just seems like something is wonky.
If eBay is able to update fuel surcharges per service weekly they should have the correct discounts being applied according to any negotiated rates they have with CP.
And any shipments when they get charged back to seller (via MP) should be based on the time the label was created. Not on a after the fact date. That's how it works when you pay for something in a store.

None of the quoted prices for Expedited or Expedited Lite through eBay labels is correct anymore. One of the quoted prices for one of my shipments was about $15.00 & I just checked & I was now charged over $18.00. This is getting beyond annoying. Imagine shopping in a store & the item has one price listed but when you go to pay at the checkout they charge you a much higher price. No one would put up with that.

Yup, made multi post in an attempt to bring this matter into light. Very time consuming to dispute all these charges.
Surely there's someone we can all mass message to get this fixed ASAP.

Sadly I have dealt with that recently at Petland. Online (non flyer) quotes 1 price...In store a higher price. Very strange.
Regarding the cp discrapancies which have gone on for longer than they should have it needs to be officially addressed. WITH credits where applicable. IMMEDIATELY.
