Re: Offer extended posted as dated 19 December 2012

eBay has had this promo for 5 cents for DVDs for 4 years now and it gets extended all the time.  Some sellers who sell mainly in these categories that this promo applies to do not bother with a store to sell these items to save the $49.99 Premium Store monthly fee. Or they can get the Basic store at 15.99 a month to save $34.

For sellers with a Premium store or higher, there is no advantage to this promo. To others it is a savings. So not a joke to some sellers.

Anyone with half a brain knew it would be "extended", its never been "regular" price.   But auctionbytes did a piece last week on the effect of it ending that whipped some into a frenzy over it.

Yup.......

That's probably the 8th time since the promo normally gets renewed for 6 months.

It's interesting to see that this time the extension is only until March 31st. I have my suspicions that will be the date that a major fee restructuring will take place. Can't wait for the Q1 Seller Update :_|
