Placing fixed price items on HOLD

Been on eBay for over 13 years.  Never put items on hold to go on a vacation.

I have a bunch of fixed priced listings using the current FREE LISTINGS.

I do not have a store.

I will be going away for six days (no access to computer) and would like to place my fixed price listings on hold.

Ebay Customer Support says his can be done - but doesn't say how.

Can I place my items on hold - and how do I do it.

"I do not have a store."

The "vacations" setting allowing sellers to let buyers know they are away (and block purchases) is only availeble to eBay store owners.

Your best option is to end all listings and bulk retist them upon your return.

If I were to open a basic store for the next month, would I be able to place them on hold?

Yes.  I do not see why not.

Once the store is opened, check the "vacation settings"  You have many options.

Thanks for your input, Pierre!

Just to be on the safe side, I will call ebay tomorrow just to make sure.

Do you seriously expect a "better" answer from the customer service representative answering the phone call in the Phillippines?

I have called customer support a couple of times and it has been a good experience.  I know that you are usually right, but no harm in getting a second opinion.
