Problem with feedback

I just received this message from a buyer.

Hi, I don't know what's going on with ebay, but I received your item at least two weeks ago and when I went to leave great feedback it says it's not delivered yet. Really strange. I wanted to let you know all is good here, but there must be a glitch with ebay.

I have never heard that eBay tells a buyer that their package had not been delivered, how would they know that? This was letter mail.

The first thing that comes up when you leave feedback, is Did your item arrive on or before XX 2020..

It happens to me all the time right now (positive feedback before tracking shows as delivered) because Canada Post is either not delivery scanning or the scans come in very delayed.

My last tracked item for Canada still shows on ebay as "in transit" with a July 26 expected arrival date. Canada Post tracking shows it was delivered July 14.

But this wasn't tracked, it was letter mail, and she couldn't leave feedback because they said it hadn't arrived. I don't understand how eBay could know that letter mail had not arrived, she had received it 2 weeks previously.

I have been noticing that tracking is not updating properly through Ebay. I have multiple items showing "Out for delivery" that were delivered. Try tracking through the Canada Post website (as opposed to through Ebay). Some items that are still showing as "Out for delivery" on Ebay are showing as "Delivered" through Canada Post. This is an Ebay error because tracking through Ebay is not updating properly.

I've received feedback from buyers that had just purchased items; obviously not shipped yet.

I know, I have had buyers do the same thing. So I don't understand this situation, not a new buyer, almost 500 feedbacks.

There still should be an estimated delivery time range for the purchase (even if it was lettermail).

You are a Top Rated seller, so ebay does have some protection for what it considers early feedback (negatives and neutrals are not allowed).
