Question about US customs

Does anyone know if there is US customs in Montreal for packages, or is the only mail customs located in the US. I have been waiting 11 days for a package to arrive in Massachusetts. It took a week to go from Ottawa to Montreal and finally now usps says they have picked it up and it is back to moving. So was it in customs in Montreal (I know they have US customs there for people) or does it still need to go through customs? I’m hoping the former. Canada post gave an expected delivery date of May 7 and well we know that has passed. I’m just happy to finally know where my package is after a week of no updates but will be disappointed if it still has to be processed through customs.

Parcels via Canada Post to the USA are cleared on the American side.

Be sure to check your tracking on both the Canada Post and USPS websites for information (they don't always have the same details).

Expedited parcel I sent to the USA in April took a week to fly from Mississauga to Chicago.

I mailed an order (lettermail) to Massachusetts on March 30.
It was received on May 08.

BTW eBay's estimated delivery date was April 15.
