I sold an item few days ago to a customer from QC. today while I was doing my routing email clean up, I noticed a customer left me an email and it was in my bulk folder The customer asked me to ship to a different address other than paypal address.Unfortunately I have shipped the item already.
I dont know who would be in charge in that case. I have never been a situation like this. Normally if customer wanted different address, they always contacted me through ebay conversation and I issued the full refund. Then ask them to provide the correct shipping address again.
Ebay doesn't really have any rules for email communication after transaction is completed so I dont know what exactly I should do in this case now.
Any feedback would be greatly appreciated!

Contact the buyer at the email address received from PayPal and explain you missed the new address information and you have mailed the parcel already to the address shown on the payment. Provide the date of mailing and service used.
Ask if the buyer somehow has left forwarding instructions at the old address.
Communication with the buyer will be key in solving this problem. Hopefully, the parcel will be forwarded directly to the buyer. Otherwise, it may be returned to you by Canada Post and you will need to resend it to the new address provided by the buyer.
Good Luck.

If it's lettermail, this may not be an overly expensive route to take; however, when it's a parcel, the seller will then have to decide whether to lay out another $10 to $15 for the second shipment.
A buyer once provided the wrong postal code. Canada Post returned the parcel to me, with $13.00 postage due. The buyer didn't want to pay another $13 for the second shipment and neither did I. I ended up refunding the full amount to her. So, in the end, I was out of pocket for $26.00.
