Selling through link

I'm going to guess that lets say you are big on social media, and you could as an example put a link on your feed regarding things for sale. If someone buys from that link, eBay knows it was outside eBay.

I think it's a form of marketing, for eBay to try and understand and gauge various attempts at better utilizing advertising dollars.

Essentially you are providing eBay with data and in exchange they give you a break on fees.

I thought the affiliate program wasn’t available in Canada but then again it’s been awhile since I looked into it.

If this is something touted by a so-called eBay Star on YouTube, forget about it. Those guys are 98.5 per cent hot air.

This not about you selling on eBay, put about getting people to buy on eBay.

There is an affiliate program with eBay that covers most eBay marketplaces. You earn pennies for every eBay purchase made by someone who clicked a link through your site.  It used to pay more but eBay made adjustments to prevent exploiters who tried to make off with millions in bogus referrals. Top 2 guys grabbed $35 million and got some court time about 5 years ago.
