I just saw a listing on ebay for an iCloud locked Macbook Pro.
The serial number was shown in one of the pictures.
When I checked the serial Number on CPIC stolen database it came up as stolen.
CPIC website:

Is that allowed on ebay, does ebay care?

You can Report it to eBay's Trust and Security.
More importantly, you can Report it to Apple, who have skin in the game.

"If you receive a positive result, please contact your local police to confirm the information and ask for assistance."
Did you call the cops? Where is the seller? Call the cops in his city.
Ebay doesn't care. They protect thieves.

It is the same laptop. It sold on May 4. Sounds fishy to me.

Hi @stellersbrights - this is definitely something we take seriously. The best way to proceed is to report it to your local police. They can work with us directly to investigate.
More information on our processes here.
Thanks!

The auction for the Macbook Pro is gone. Tyler, did you get it removed?

Hi @a51split - I am not able to discuss action taken on another member's account (it violates our privacy policies).
With that said, if you ever have reason to believe that an item listed on eBay violates our policies please consider alerting it to us by using the 'Report this item' link.
Additionally, if you believe the item to be stolen property, please report it to us using the link. You can also report it to the police and they can work with us as well. Thanks!
