Hi @teenytrinkets!
Tracking should be updating regularly from carrier's websites (the key word there is 'should').
In any event, in the case of an INR teammates should be looking up the tracking scans on the courier's website itself to double check things. If you run into a situation where that was not done please let me know!

It's not unusual for commercial/postal tracking not to synch with eBay's records.
However, if a buyer opened a Not Delivered dispute, the seller can use the shipper's tracking records to show that delivery was actually accomplished.
What you can't use is feedback, which is voluntary and very erratic.

This has been a problem for months. I constantly see/have items delivered. Either being advised by the customer or the tracking in Canadapost showing as delivered and then very delayed updates in eBay. I have one shipping on the 23rd to Grande Prairie. Delivered on the 28th(As per Canadapost), still showing in Calgary as of the 23rd in eBay. If you did have an issue with a buyer eBay customer service would be able to confirm as per the postal website. tyler@ebay could clarify as to how eBay would handle/proceed in that situation.

PS. Unfortunately UR XXX XXX XXX CA is the reverse situation. It may or may not show delivered in eBay but not in Canadapost/USPS.

Very common for me lately. Unsure how ebay looks at it during a case.

Just a note, I was looking up tracking on an item today and I've noticed that ZERO of my non-USA tracked items show as delivered within ebay, but all were delivered when viewing within CP website. (I only went back a couple months).
I'm interested to know if others are seeing the same thing?
Here is what I see:
USA expresspost and tracked show as delivered.
Canadian expedited, show tracking some point up to close to delivery point but never show as delivered.
International tracked and expresspost only show "tracking number provided".
tyler@ebay let me know if you want example item numbers.

Like many I have issues with eBay and Canada Post not being in sync. For example a package I sent out to a location close to me shows no delivery confirmation over a month later yet on the CP website it lists as having been delivered on time.
My solution to this is to give the buyer two sites (eBay and CP) of where they can keep track of their package. I also advise them of the current issue between the two and recommend they check CP if no update from eBay.

The thing is, if the buyer says "late delivery" it seems to count as a defect when carrier tracking isn't synched with eBay. If you download your late shipment report, it will show "counted - YES; missed handling time - N/A" since eBay didn't "receive" the tracking info from the carrier.
This problem has now cost me Top Rated 2 months in a row, and NOBODY has been able to help even though I've confirmed the issue with Merchant Support...
also was told that the defects were "too old" to remove, even though they were counted for current evaluation period.

Shouldn't even get to this point, tracking should be automatic as it used to be / still is on many listings. This is causing huge issues to sellers.

Hi @ricarmic - thanks for the FYI on what you're seeing. I'm seeing some various technical issues reported with shipping updating (or not). I'll see if I can get more attention paid to this one. Thanks!

sounds similar to what I'm seeing, and when a customer selects late delivery, eBay counts it since it seems as though it's not able to verify when it was shipped. . but go on CPC website, and it's easily verifiable that it was shipped/scanned on time.
