Anyone else having this problem? I sent 3 packages, all with tracking on Tuesday morning, all xpresspost. One package was already delivered yesterday (Wednesday) and got feedback already, but on ebay still shows 'tracking number provided' and nothing after that, for all 3.

I checked the Canada post webiste, lots of updates on each one.

I only care because paypal is holding the funds until ebay gives them the nod that transaction is complete.

If I were to edit the tracking nubmers on each one, would it update manually? Or would it somehow screw up the transaction and reset it or something. I want to edit the one already delivered, but I'm afraid if I re enter the shipping number, it might reset it and the customer might get confused

Anyone else having this problem right now?

This is not a Canada Post problem at all. Ebay could simply link directly to CP's site like 90% of other etailer sites do. But they have to do it their way and their way isn't working. So fix it, once and for all! This is embarassing.

I do have a question, do eBay labels still say "powered by Pitney-Bowes" (they did when the labels came from PayPal)?

If they do then I suspect that PB are the ones processing the tracking information and are responsible for the tracking that appears on eBay.

Some people may know my feeling about PB and their gross incompetance, perhaps this is just another example.

On Canadian and US shipments it only has the CP account used by eBay. Nothing about Pitney Bowes. Would have to go through the archives to confirm what showed with Shippo. Canadian shipments skip phone numbers and date of shipment on label. They do show gross so when cubing is applied but not actual weight inputted by seller. US/Intl. shipments show gross weighed paid but do include the date. Note on both Manifest is not required. Also any notes sellers add do not display on Intl shipments. (Imbedded into UPC but unable to confirm. Still missing the side report with display of charges/discounts/tax/fuel for all shipments.

Lastly system still is incorrectly automagically updating to show CA/Prov vs what was entered with actual country goods were manufactured as per customs requirements. CA/Prov is intended for CO forms where the shipper is the manufacturer of record.

Regarding the tracking not displaying, that could have something to do with any changes eBay has made internally. Basically they work properly(consistently) until they don't. They should be doing at least 1 data transmit per day from eBay to CP. Info updates accordingly when you check CP's website. Like after parcels have been picked up at a depot and are scanned as a sort plant. Strange that these outside sites have tracking that is update compared to what's available at eBay.

I took a a quick look at my last 4 sales that had tracking and all show as delivered (with date) on the Manage orders page. A mix of Expedited Lite and Tracked Packet USA. All labels bought through ebay shipping.

This is an old thread.

A 2024 problem that looks like a 2021 problem may not even be caused by the same things.

Unfortunately this discussion was added to around post 17. One of the observations I made moons ago was that when anyone having a problem does a search on this board the default results are best match vs new. In most cases once a post is found and is "appears" to be similar it just gets added to vs creating a new discussion. For many problems we never know if the original issue was ever resolved. All any user can do is keep trying with fingers crossed. In checking issues on dot com discussions do get closed but not as consistently as what happens on ca.

Maybe something that should have been tweaked long ago but it is what eBay users are stuck with. It would be helpful in many cases if someone were to come back from eBay to confirm it had been resolved or update the status. If it has been then maybe close vs leaving anyone that it is affecting in the Lurch. Otherwise it just is another eBay "Thing". Sorry, meant glitch!!!😆 Best way so the problem doesn't, ummm for lack of a better word, Fester!!!

PS. Regarding tracking there are still some users seeing inconsistenties as to how this works or doesn't. See post 23 from the powers that be for context of implied limbo.
