I heard from my contact at Stallion today and they gave me the following info to share with you, if you use the service:
1. Items shipped from Mississauga on Sunday March 3 are supposed to clear the border on March 4 (this is true if you are using USPS, I have been advised the US Economy service may have 2-day induction, so ship USPS if you're posting on Sunday before tariffs)
2. If a package is delayed and assessed tariffs, Stallion will bill it back to the shipper (that's us) rather than billing our customers.
3. Stallion is working on a solution for the event of tariffs and will make a public announcement when they have reached a decision on what to do (and are ready to share it with us). They are working to mitigate issues that us shippers will have getting our packages across. I'm expecting mayhem if they have to try and charge tariffs on every single package, Stallion is trying to avoid us having these kind of delays with a solution. (We just don't know what that will be yet).
C.
