As some of you may have seen in a previous post, I have been waiting for the shipping supplies from my free coupon. Plus I paid extra because I wanted 2 lots.

Well yesterday I got an email from Canada Post to say that my package had been delivered, but it was not there. I waited 24 hours, still no packages. So I called Canada Post and gave them the tracking number, and was very surprised to hear that I was actually the seller in Ontario, and my package had been delivered to the buyer in Calgary AB. If anyone on this board has an extra package, It's mine!!!

I called eBay and it took quite a while to get them to understand that I was actually the buyer and not the seller, so they have put in a claim for me. It just seems so strange, I guess whoever was doing the labels got very mixed up. I just wonder how this will work out because they actually have a message that the item has been delivered.

Wow, this definitely qualifies as a very strange situation!

It is very hard to understand how the "seller" got screwed up like that, I can't imagine how a buyer address got put in as the sellers, given how they ship their stuff, unless they cut and paste addresses in or something.

I wonder how many others it happened to!

(There might be one less shipper at whatever fulfillment company is handling these supplies now!)

Did it say delivered on eBay as well? Is it definitely the same tracking number as what you were originally given?
When I've mailed a package with tracking I've often received a notice when the buyer received the item...it can be confusing so thought this might be what happened in your case.

Yes, it said on eBay that it was delivered as well. The same tracking number, when I had checked it, it said it hadn't even left for delivery.

eBay got back to me and said . After checking online it doesn't appear that this parcel was properly handed off and scanned for pickup by the carrier. As such, all orders are guaranteed. A replacement for the entire order will be processed for shipment from our warehouse on Wednesday when it reopens.

I was registered as the seller, not the buyer. Hopefully I will finally get my envelopes.
