Which shipping label?

Just started MP and an wondering about labels. I have never used Shippo, always Paypal. There seems to be a lot of problems posted here about eBay labels. I do still have money in my Paypal account, I am not sure how easy it will be when the payment wasn't made with Paypal.

I have used Snap Ship but I find it cumbersome and lengthy to use.

True, it is just blank space.  You should get an email from eBay with all those details.  Does not bother me since I went to paperless storage of the labels I buy. But for those that those that still use paper, it should not require much programming effort for ebay to print the purchase details (perhaps as seller selected option).

Did not see, but...

I never noticed any effect when using paypal or shippo -- they both immediately updated the ebay sales record when I bought the label (and never waited until the "mailing" day), so I stopped bothering.  And Canada Post does not care either (at least for the services I use).

The label I did showed both items in the sale on separate lines. Not sure what would happen with more than 5 or 6 items.  That is one area where it looked like more fine tuning is required for ebay labels.

Re: Which shipping label?

www.paypal.com/shipnow

Copy and paste required for shipping information.

Manual updating of ebay shipping/tracking for the sale required.

I have tried the eBay Labels (once so far), and it went fairly smoothly.  And it does have a Canada SB level 3 discount until September (instead of SB level 1).

Re: Which shipping label?

Since CP is temporarily giving discounts on labels printed on ebay labels,(see the link below) you might want to try using them.  I haven't had any problems when I've used them, there are just a couple of things missing on the customs form when the label is printed but that I don't think that hasn't been a problem so far.

Re: Which shipping label?

Thanks for the help. I just did my first eBay label, but I have some questions, not sure I did it correctly.

1) I didn't get the side-by-side details that you cut off and keep

2) I didn't see the option of which day I was mailing. I usually do the label the day before I ship.

3) The customs details seemed very sparse compared with Paypal, and I was not sure how I would do more that one item on each label.

Sorry about all the questions. I seem to be always asking questions but giving few answers.

Re: Which shipping label?

I don't have all the answers but it's definitely better to ask questions rather than get frustrated 🙂

1.  I miss that info on the other half of the sheet as well.  I don't know if they plan on including that.

2. I hadn't noticed the missing date and that's probably because I would never remember to change it anyway.  I don't think that it matters?

3. Not all of the customs info is transferred to the label when it is printed but I'm sure that will be fixed.  I haven't tried to add another line in customs...perhaps someone else knows if it's possible.

Re: Which shipping label?

I assume it would show all items that were paid together but is there a way to add an item manually if items were paid for separately?   I know that on .com there is a way to combine separately paid items on one label,..no idea if it can be done the same way here.  I've never paid much attention to the actual 'how to' details though as it was easy to manually add an another item.
