This is a first for me. My withdrawal/transfer of paypal funds on Saturday to my back account failed and was 'refunded' today with no explanation whatsoever on either line in the Account Activity. I kinda need that money in my actual bank account since I can't pay for groceries with paypal funds. Has this ever happened to anyone else? I'm trying again today.

And always me yelling the same word eight times. Like a lunatic. If my partner is sitting at his desk when I call, he's openly laughing at me by that point. Because he knows all the not-so-subtle signs of me about to lose my *bleep* all over the place.

This happened to me as well. I thought there was a problem with my bank. The transfer was refunded back to my PayPal account and then I had to quickly transfer some money from my savings into my chequing account because I knew some automatic withdrawals were going to be going through since it's month-end. So I transferred from PayPal to my bank once again yesterday, but this time with an additional $50.
THIS MORNING -- both transfers -- the original and the second one --- are showing in my bank account, but only one amount subtracted from my PayPal balance. Not just a glitch -- a major glitch!

I had the same thing happen. I tried to transfer money from my PayPal account to my Bank account a few days ago. Just checked & it was refunded back into my Paypal account. So I have tried again transferring money today. Will see if it goes through this time. So many issues & problems lately with eBay & PayPal. Very disheartening for sellers.

Yes, I too was unpleasantly surprised yesterday at the dollar store cashier when I went to pay for something, having just assumed the PayPal transfer to my bank account had been completed as per usual. Much to the dismay of people standing in line behind me, I had to do some fancy footwork to settle my bill.
It is a major glitch. And one that does not bode well for a company that wants to be taken seriously as a financial services provider. I honestly do expect better from them.
That made me laugh, though it's not a funny situation. The line-ups at the dollar store are always so long and they are not the most patient of clientele. I remember when they would only take cash and when they finally started to accept debit cards, there was all kinds of grumbling about how long it was going to take now. I just have a funny vision of you scrambling through your wallet trying to make payment.

Oh gosh, it was even worse than you can imagine. After my debit card was declined at the dollar store due to insufficient funds in that account where the PayPal money was supposed to go, I had to pay with the cash in my wallet. Which I had, luckily, but unluckily in nickels, quarters, dimes and loonies. The cash I was carrying was the float for a cash box from a craft sale I did on the weekend. It was a real lesson in coin counting. And public humiliation.

I got the same message around 3:00pm.
They have already redone the transfer, the csr was aware of the situation and had an internal update from earlier today. The update did not say that the re-transfers would go through without a hitch but they are supposed to be alright.
In my actual bank account there is nothing showing at all, no credit/debit or any reference to the original transfer.
As far as the voice recognition aspect, that went flawlessly for me, the system detected I had a temporary PIN, I gave "bank transfer issue" as the problem which was understood perfectly. 15 second wait time for a live person who was aware of the situation.
The glitch.....Not good.
The interim response....Excellent
The final result....we will have to wait and see on that
It will all be good if the retry makes it there by Friday, if not, well I'll have problems as there are many bill payments that need to go out from that account on Sunday.

My letter was slightly different. Because they did the first transfer again as well as the second transfer which was comprised of the first plus a little more, my Paypal Account balance is now in the red for the value of the first (failed) transfer. This is aggravating.

Me too .... not quite in the red, but I only have $35.00 left in my PayPal account. I came home from shopping and saw that they had transferred the original amount and the second transfer. Honestly!

I'm $105 in the hole now in my paypal account. It had better not be negatively affecting my account standing because it makes me look like I'm a deadbeat. Their fault, NOT mine.
