This morning I have called eBay 3 times to talk about defects. First call waiting time was 29 minutes. I waited 15 minutes and hung up. Second call wait time was 31 minutes , then 39 minutes. In none of the 3 calls was an option given to have a call back by CS. Is this lack of phone back service a new eBay post 20 Aug upgrade???

I use the "call me" service and have never waited more than 1 minute.
I expect today the lines are burning up with defect freak outs..............

The "call me" service used to be offered after a minute or so of waiting. It was not an option on any of the 3 calls I made this morning.

That is what I am thinking and they have turned off the call back feature.
I wouldn't try calling for a while. like, days, or a week.
On top of that, they are getting yelled at, screamed at, threatened, and are having obscenities hurled at them. I doubt that they would be in the best frame of mind.

I agree with both comments. I'd wait a week and let the storm die down a bit.

While we like to be frustrated with the call takers, from my past "real job" experience managing a service desk (systems call centre), I feel for them, very likely they don't get paid nearly enough for what **bleep** they get from callers.... especially in times like this.....

Pierre! I about fell off the couch laughing at that one. Bet they have a score card for that remark.

Too bad those who answer the phones are the ones who get the brunt of it and they probably didn't even get a "word in" when those decisions were being made.
