If you have a shipping fee on your listing, you shouldn't need to send your buyer another. EBay does this automatically.
I did a quick check with one of your listings and you have a shipping fee enabled for Canada and the USA , as well as for Europe(Sweden). When I entered Vietnam, the message was that you shipped there but I would have to contact you for the price.
You can also send an invoice through Paypal to your eBay customer, if you have his PP address, which is usually the same as his eBay email address.

Tried that, no luck. (thanks, worth a shot.)..... BUT
figured it.... invoice shows 8% tax(New York State) for sale.
change to 0% and invoice goes like butter.
cheers.

Is New York part of the recent "online sales tax" confusion?
Thanks for the input on how to clear up the problem.
The tax is being charged and remitted by eBay and has nothing to do with the sellers.
Another thing to watch for tyler@ebay

Ebay does pay and collect tax for sales to NY state so its odd that solved the problem.

Not that odd -- sales tax on the invoice is handled by the Seller -- if ebay is doing the collecting, no tax should be on the Seller's invoice.

Experienced the same problem. In my case, sales tax was calculated for New Mexico. I tried it four times, and got the error message four times. However, because I checked the Send me a Copy (or similar) box, I ended up receiving four copies of the invoice, without the sales tax! I suspect the buyer must have gotten four copies as well. I have to think this error message problem is easy to fix and hope eBay will do so soon.

Yes the "technical problem" is still going on.
SO once again EBAY fix the problems.
do the job we pay you for.

Is there an update on this problem? Does ebay know about it?

( I am sharing your frustration!)
Add to this 'technical error' the fact that Ebay won't recognize my postal code and this is getting pretty darn frustrating! I have someone wanting to pay me for 3 lots and I can't invoice and he can't calculate. C'mon Ebay....

The recurring problem of sellers/buyers identifying technical problems (And this one goes back a ways) not being acknowledged or properly fixed. The concept of being able to send invoices as required should not be this much of a nightmare.

Sometimes the postal codes are mangled somewhere in the system.
A workaround is to use the code for a nearby municipal building- city hall, or a police station, or even the local PO.
Since the letter carrier is literate, she will correct the code on the shipment by hand (which might cause a short delay, unless you are in a small town) and give it to the carrier for your postal walk.
It's annoying to have to do anything, but ...
tyler@ebay Over a year, really?

I think this is a different problem than the one in 2019. It's still an invoicing problem but likely a different cause.

Thanks for the tag @reallynicestamps!
Hi @allmost-round-the-bend - would you elaborate on the postcode issue? I'm not familiar with an issue impacting invoices that includes post codes.
