I don’t think that anyone knows exactly how things will work but there is some discussion about it on the following thread

In the short term it means nothing. These are long term changes, as in several years before sellers have to worry.

...

Until 2014 most payment processing was handled by the division of eBay called PayPal. Then the shareholders had PayPal spun off into a separate company -- but still with processing agreements. Those agreements between the 2 companies will start ending in 2020. Adyen and eBay have a new partnership to process payments -- how it will work is still in the works. Adyen is currently being used by other online companies for payment processing.

Will you please reply to the questions posed in turn to you on the other thread(s) you’ve started this week?

We’re always happy to answer questions here, provide explanations, and share insight. But there is give-and-take in any discussion and these threads may be used as informational resource for future users to come.

You’ve asked many questions about paying seller fees without using PayPal and Local Pickups and Cash on Pickup and payment processing. That’s fine. But what is it that has you worried about this? Getting paid is literally the last thing a seller should worry about. There are a hundred small and critically important steps to selling on eBay, getting paid is that last of them.

..... Anyway.

My point is not that I am critical but that if you (or anyone else) wants to be successful as a seller here, it really begins with learning how to meet and exceed the expectation of your buyers. And, really, that begins with learning how the site works. Buy some things on ebay. Pick things you need to buy anyway and then look for them here. Small purchases, or large, from within Canada and then also the USA and, if you dare, overseas. You need to experience the site as a buyer to know what you need to do as a seller.

And then read.

The Help Pages are an invaluable resource. So is Community for posing questions, as you can see. There are also a pile of webinars being currently run. Watch the re-runs or, if you are registered to sell, participate in one of them. The list can be found here:

https://www.ebay.com/rpp/mso-webinars

On Demand are the re-runs which you can watch anytime as long as they are available.

sorry. Yes I will reply when I get the chance I am not ignoring you. I just have some issues and not a lot of time at the moment. Regarding my worries now. I have never been paid for anything online yet. It's new to me. Did you never worry about anything new to you?
