Hey guys! I have a question. Is it true that in Canada there's no customs fee for 'used' merchandise?

No, it's not true.

 

More importantly, there are sales taxes on any import valued over $20Cdn (~$16USD) and the shipping company (Canada Post, Pitney Bowes, UPS, etc.) are allowed to charge a service fee (which has various names) for the paperwork.

NEW or USED doesn't matter... someone is selling and you are buying.

The official limit for individuals importing duty and tax free into Canada is $20 Canadian (not goods brought in as a part of a personal exemption after being absent from Canada for an extended period of time).
