Question about Canada post expedited lite service

Hello,

I plan on listing some comic books and Trading cards and want to use the new Canada post expedited lite service for shipping under 200g. I have two questions regarding this:

1. Once I print the shipping label and affix it to the package/letter mail, can I just drop it into a Canada post mail box or do I have to bring it to a Canada post postal office?

2. Is this shipping price only offered if I sell to people in Canada? Are there any options to make tracked shipping cheaper for USA and international buyers or will that continue to be Canada post rates?

Cheers

You don't have to drop it off at the Post Office, but it is a good idea to do so... as you will get it scanned immediately and a receipt that shows that you have actually done so.

Dropping in a mail box does not give you any proof that you have actually mailed it until the first scan (if that ever happens, you item can go 'missing' from the mail box to the sorting center and never gets scanned).

Tracked Packet to the USA at the moment is a comparative bargain because eBay has negotiated a special deal, something like 61% less than Canada Post counter prices, making it cheaper even than Airmail Small Packet. I haven't the figures in front of me but I've sent items weighing less than 100 g for about $10 and up to 200 g for not much more.

The Expedited Lite  is for domestic use only(Within Canada) and of course we fellow members do not know what is in Canada Post's future plans....

and as for "Are there any options to make tracked shipping cheaper for USA and international buyers or will that continue to be Canada post rates?"...well there are others shipping alternatives to Canada Post...some research will be needed on your part to determine if any of those alternatives meet your needs.
