Hi  need some   HELP .....  why some of my ads ( 5 ) do NOT calculate shipping for buyers yet I have defined as always , i have entered the weight, dimensions and chose the option delivery such as post canada defined

but still impossible NO cost for shipments of my products

For https://www.ebay.ca/itm/162729658990 I see rates for everything except USA

What postal method are you selecting to use for the USA?

Your choices: Small packet USA (up to 1kg), Tracked packet USA (up to 1kg) or Expedited parcel USA (up to 30kg)?

For calculated shipping are you picking "Custom location" and then selecting USA?

DO NOT use International parcel surface -- it takes too long to arrive in most parts of the world and you will lose an Item-Not-Received claim filed by a buyer.

my fist choice is Expedited parcel USA xpress post Usa

since 2015 i do create ad it is new that Ebay bug before all was working well now with their update

that poter ad if you look at that ad you will get shipping cost for usa NOTHING will show BUT if you look at all my listin in order price and shipping HIGHEST firt you will see a shipping cost value for shippig to zip 90210 i do get 28.54 $ cdn

for the other ad below Item 162728965244 i do see 17.75 $ shipping cost I DO OPEN ad NO shipping value

WHAT IS WRONG WITH EBAY i am so NEAR CHRISTMAS AND NO SALE ......

Might be a combined shipping issue, eBay has been making updates and things get broken. I suggest posting your issue in the next weekly chat session (November 28/29) for an eBay.CA staff member to look at.

I looked at some of your other books, and from the viewpoint of a book collector some are over graded (a book cover with a fold mark on it is not "Like-New").

You don't have to redo the entire listing.

Just change the dimensions on the shipping part.

Add a  centimetre in one dimension.

Then list, look at the new listing, and if the shipping doesn't show for the USA (I use 90210 as a zipcode), use REVISE to try again.

Hi and thank you. It's commendable you share your knowledge. This issue has plagued a few of my listings for the 3 years I've been an "eBayer". I did manage to save one almost foregone sale by doing exactly as you recommend. It didn't work for another identical listing and 3 eBay CSRs proved fruitless. My "workaround" ,which of course is an new and popular eBay term is Sellers have to test all new listings for International shipping charges at the time of posting. For items that are later "contaminated" by the eBay Shopping cart plague" the "workaround" is to disable "Immediate payment" and send the buyer (if there is one still) a manually generated invoice with shipping determined by the seller instead of the eBay Shipping Calculator. |The Process sort of takes away the value of eBay altogether but it gets the job done. . Considering the problem seems to stem back to 2013 you would think femmefan that this conversation would have been circumvented by now wouldn't you? Thank you for any input and advice.

i even try creating new listing and delete other did not work I am getting only canada cost and international and Usa i am not getting any error message and I getting no cost for shipping

i do have photo where can I included that photo whitout $ $

I understand fully. At first I didn't see any pattern to which items would not function with the International shipping calculation. After discussing it with 3 or 4 different Ebay CSRs and trying all those things too I now see a pattern. Here it is. I experienced issues with 6 out of 50 listings. There were no listing errors. The buyer receives one of the following error messages: "The item will ship to (country) but the seller has not specified shipping options. Contact the seller and request a shipping method to your location." OR "A shipping cost cannot be calculated. Please enter a valid Zip Code." This is an Ebay gliche and nothing to do with my listing. Ebay acknowledges that it is a "known issue". If you report it they simply add you to the list of other sellers. With respect to femmfan's workaround changing the dimensions did work on ONE of my listings. For some reason it didn't work on a nearly identical listing. I now know that the issue only happens in certain categories. One way to fix is to recategorize the item if possible. I just sold two of my listing with issues. I was lucky in that both buyers were patient. Here is what I did. Uncheck the "Immediate Payment Required" .box in your listing. Find out the shipping cost from your carrier. Message it to your buyer. He/she likely already messaged you when they got the error message. Ask your buyer to purchase the item without paying for it. As long as you uncheck the IPR they have 3 days to pay. Once they "charge" your item you will get an email from EBAY and the option to send an invoice to the buyer and YOU fill in the shipping amount manually. It goes back to the buyer who can then clear checkout. This works because it bypasses the Shopping Cart. The eBay Shopping Cart is were the international shipping gliche is. Unfortunately your item is not available for sale for up to 3 days and the buyer can cancel the order. Most people don't but I had to send a reminder to one so stay on top of it. I still have a listing that doesn't work. It's in the category Musical Instruments and Gear/Vintage Percussion/ Parts ans Accessories. Nothing will fix it so before I delete the listing and repost it I'm going to try changing the category. If that doesn't work I'll redo the entire listing. One other suggestion is when posting new listings don't use the "Sell Similar" function. If you do and you have gliches in the listing it's reproducing the gliche will be copied into your new listing. Many gliches in html are invisible. Cheers!

It's happening again to me today too. This is the third time! My International buyers can't get a shipping cost and they can't go through checkout. I have to uncheck Pay Immediately" and try to invoice them manually. There is nothing wrong with my listings or my shipping options. Ebay has verified that. The customer gets an error message saying I don't ship to their country or invalid zip code. I called eBay today (for the third time) They say they will send the issue to a team and give me a number. Well this has been going on for months. Most of my sales are international and most of my listing do not work with the shipping calculator so what's the point? Any insight would be much apprecia

Same thing happened minutes after I posted my reply to superlouca. I received a request from a US buyer for an invoice with the shipping. He was able to purchase the item as it was not a "Pay Immediately". So I called eBay again. This time I was told there was nothing they could do. It is a known issue affecting some Canadian Sellers listings.The CSR said there was no time frame on when it could be fixed. All they can do is add your seller ID to the list of affected sellers. Your shipping for Canada shows just fine.

There is a known disconnect between Canada Post and USPS measurements for Small Packet/ Expedited etc.

Try adding a centimeter to one of your dimensions then use Review to see if the shipping works then.

Personally, I wouldn't give more than one rate for shipping. In my opinion, your buyer will choose the cheapest but expect the fastest.

But that is not your question.

Aaaaaand- I was looking at a book, while your bulb and tuber customer may want faster shipping on those.
