Shipping cd's for a reasonable cost in Canada ?

Hi Everyone,

We are going crazy trying to figure out a way to ship cd's at a reasonable cost to buyers. We just sent a 1 cd package in a bubble mailer with extra bubble wrap, It came in at 115 grams  19cm x 15cm x 3 cm--$13.43

and the buyer is only 6 hours from us. Anyone have tips, tricks or advice ? Feel bad charging that for shipping 1 cd. Should we skip the tracking and send a different way? Any info would be welcomed.

Cheaper?
The problem is twofold.

The plastic case is fragile and the bubble wrapper is bulky.

If you use thin stiff card (not corrugated) on both sides of the case  it will be less likely to get cracked.

And then you can use a poly or even paper envelope and ship Letter Mail within Canada because you are less than 2cm thick.

For more valuable CDs, you could cross check the cost of Registered (letter rate +$9.75) which is tracked and insured  within Canada against the cost of Regular/Expedited Parcel.

For USA the promotional discount on Tracked Packet USA has been extended to March. Fingers crossed.

FWIW - Most people are honest.

You are not required to use tracking, but be aware that if the customer claims Item Not Received your only response is to refund promptly.

Putting the very minimal cost of such Claims into your selling price is called Cookie Jar Insurance- basically self-insurance against problem transactions.
