Time Away question

As a seller, I have just set my account to 'Time Away' due to the potential Canada Post strike (I'm not actually away anywhere and I'm not permitting any sales at this time). 

Does doing this prevent my messaging other sellers as a 'buyer' and them being able to message me back as a seller, in other words... is my ability to receive messages as a 'buyer' restricted?

Does 'Time Away diffrentiate between my seller AND buyer activities?

I use "Time Away" quite frequently and to the best of my knowledge, that only affects how you deal with listings....the messaging system should function as normal...

If you don't want to make any sales make sure your Time Away is set to make your listings invisible.

Because otherwise some dimbulb will order something and be furious that you don't ship it.
