I have a Brand New Limited Edition GameCube system that is really expensive ( around $1000) and want to have an idea of the best way to sell it without being scammed? my fear is that a buyer might purchase it then claim it was not new or damaged to keep it and get their money back. Is there a way to protect myself as a seller, cause eBay (from experience) is pro buyer and I don't want to lose my item or my money. your suggestions are much apreciated.
Well, you have a fair amount of recent feedback from happy customers, and that in itself is a pretty good protection.
I would suggest that you limit sales on this item to Canada and the USA.
Allow returns. A No Returns policy is not a No Refunds policy and will sound aggressive and difficult to the honest buyer.
Use Fixed Price/Immediate Payment Required.
Ignore requests that you text... but that one has to be obvious by now.
Remember that you can cancel sales as "problem with address" pretty easily. An overseas buyer using a US freight forwarder will cost you more in PP fees than a domestic or US buyer.
Actually, using local pickup on eBay sales can work well, and you can ask to be paid in cash.
