basically ebay is telling me that I have received 742 feddback but only validates 521? Because on my 'yearly' feedback score it says 314. It does not seem to be a yearly total, otherwise my fb ratings would be 314 and not 521. I don't know, super confused about this?
Thanks 🙂
Do you have a good number of buyers buying multiple items at once? If bought in the same week, multiple feedback only count once. Cut and paste below about this:
"
Feedback for multiple transactions with the same seller (or buyer), within the same week:
If you are leaving feedback for multiple purchases with the same seller, and they are all the same type (all positive or all negative), then basically, only the first feedback you leave for that seller within that week is counted. The other feedbacks you leave for the same seller in that week will not be counted. The "extra" feedbacks will still be accepted, and will still be shown on the feedback profile page, but they won't be counted in the total feedback points and they won't be used to calculate feedback percentage.
If some of the feedbacks for the same seller are positive and some are negative, some will cancel each other out and you will be left with only positives or negatives left and again, only one of those points will count (or none will count if there were an equal number of each).
The bottom line is, if you have more than one feedback to leave for the same seller in the same week, only one point will count, so you may decide not to leave all the feedbacks. Any that you do leave, even if more than one, will still show up in the feedback profile, so there is still some "benefit" to leave more than one feedback per week for the same seller."
First -- feedback is NOT used by eBay to assess member accounts.
And FB is voluntary, with less than 40% of transactions getting any feedback. (I suspect most of that is left by sellers.)
Otherwise, if you are leaving multiple FB for a multiple purchase from a single seller, the seller will only get one feedback.
If you wanted to leave multiple FB for a multiple purchase, then you would have to leave one FB a week over serveral weeks.
You do have 60 days to leave feedback.
Most sellers never see their buyer's FB before the item is purchased.
Most buyers think 95% is a terrific A grade.
Feedback is just a legacy from the 20th century internet, when buying online was edgy and scary.
