I posted a couple of weeks about this situation where a buyer had the wrong address on his Paypal account. It was tracked so got it back today so will go ahead & contact the buyer to see if he wants it or a refund. I will only refund the cost of the item not the postage as it was more than the item. Just wondering in this situation how to get the fees back from eBay or do I just have to pay them?
I can't help much, but since the package was Undeliverable, it is my understanding that you are not required (by eBay) to refund anything.
Ethically, of course....
The simplest thing would be to refund the product cost, minus the fees you were charged by eBay and Paypal using PP's Send Money service or make a partial refund (again minus your costs that stemmed from the buyer's error) directly from the original PP payment.
There may be a better solution.
Interesting-- I just got an Undeliverable shipment back today.
Shipped on 25/4 Returned 19/5.
I'll try to contact him, but checking on Google Maps and on Canada Post postal codes page, there really is no such address.
There are only seven or eight houses on the street. How can anyone get that confused?
