Hi everyone!
I want to end some of my BIN items early because they are not selling - they don't seem to be showing in the search results and have been automatically relisted several times and still no sales. They must be at the bottom because there is no interest and they are not sponsored.
Is there a penalty for ending the listings early on BIN's? I find info saying there is a charge to end auctions early but I can't find out if BIN listings are charged a fee. I have 6 days or more on some of them - no watchers and I know they are not going to sell.
A few have watchers on some that have been on there forever and I had sent offers to and they are not buyers or would have bought by now.
I don't want to incur more fees by ending too early but i want to redo and try again with a new listing.
thanks for any info you can give me.
Sherie
There is no penalty, but you get the most eyeballs for your 30 day fee by ending close to the end of the 30 days.
Watchers watch. Only Buyers buy.
Might I make some suggestions?
In the lot of Disney/Barbie, put the number of dolls in the title.
I'm not sure that Disney collectors also collect Barbie. Smaller more alike lots may do better.
While titles don't have to be grammatical, using capitals and small letters looks more professional.
You have 82 keystrokes available and titles are your best advertising. Use them all, they're free.
And in Descriptions, do use capitals where grammatical. It makes reading easier and looks more professional.
Speaking of free, eBay tells us, and I agree that Free Shipping is very popular with buyers.
DON'T PANIC!
Free Shipping isn't free. It means you put the cost of shipping into the asking price for the product.
Which is cheaper?
A $10 lot with $15 Shipping?
A $15 lot with $10 (flat rate) Shipping?
A $25 lot with Free Shipping?
And I have to encourage you to try Promoted Listings.
First you choose the rate you will pay. Personally, I never go over one* percent.
I find that while my Promoted listings don't necessarily sell, I get more views on them, upwards of ten times more, and what does sell is the other unpromoted listings.
What seems to happen is that the shopper decides to look at my other listings and finds what she didn't know she wanted.
*As a Store subscriber I get a 9.1% FVF so one percent just puts me up to the general 10%.
You can end as many of the BIN as you want without incurring any penalty. I end hundreds of them at one time. I don't like them all rolling over with Good Till Cancelled. I prefer relisting them myself.
