items with batteries

Hi everyone,

I have been selling trading cards on ebay for a while. I plan to sell sealed video game consoles with batteries in the original packaging. I have heard that batteries are one of the prohibited items. If I opened the original box and removed the batteries from it, the opened item would decrease significantly in value in the collectors' market.

If I tell the carrier that my item contains batteries, will they not accept it?

That depends upon the type of batteries as well as that particular carrier as shipping companies all have their own specific rules and policies regarding batteries.
