Should use Canada Post and will they insure expensive jewellry or use UPS or FedEx? Went to UPS and they want appraisal before will insure and ship. Is there duty on customers end?

If a Buyer makes an offer on a product and I respond with a counter offer but then get a second offer from a different Buyer, can I accept that offer before the first Buyer responds or do I have to wait for them to accept or decline my counter offer?

I sold a item for $90, shipping was $110 eBay added the 2 to make $200 and charged me taxes on $200. Thi is not right as I paid fedex the tax on $110 to get the printed label! I am from Canada so I know all my fellow eBayer are getting charged and this is not legal.

Ebay's got their promotion with Canada Post until the New Year and I've been taking advantage of the break in shipping cost, printing my own labels and dropping off packages with shipping already paid... But how can I get shipping quotes before I even list the item? I can even pre-package the item, measure and weigh it at home and enter those figures with my listing, but I don't get any shipping quotes yet. So, I miscalculated the discount due to the size of the parcel. When I confirm the weight and box dimensions, only before I'm about to send, and long after I estimated shipping and factored that into my listing. So, I got stung pretty bad. Am I missing something? Can I even get quotes as I'm listing? Also: shipping options provided only cover to a maximum $100, but my item sold for over $200. I normally deal with a cross-border shippers, so I guess I'll have to skip the offer thru eBay this time.

I list items on ebay.com in US dollars. When I try and purchase a shipping label I am not allowed as my shipping address is in Canada and not the US. Is there a work around?

Hi, i sold 4 trading cards, all under $20, ebay put my funds on hold until they have confirmation that the buyers have receive them. They force me to send them tracked. I won't do it since it will cost me more than i sold the items so i used regular shipping by Canada Post. How can i get my money from ebay? I told the buyers to leave feedback, will it be enough to confirm delivery?

Hello everyone, I sent a package to a buyer, but the buyer never received it and opened a case against me for Item Not Received. I contacted the buyer immediately, confirmed the address and told them I would send a replacement. I asked the buyer to close the case to let Ebay know I was solving the issue. The buyer has yet to close the case and I have already gone ahead and sent out a replacement item. How do I get the case closed? If the case isn't closed in the next couple days, I will have to refund the buyer to get the case closed and avoid a negative on my account, even though I sent out a replacement item already. Please advise on how to close a case from my end - the seller's end. There doesn't seem to be that option when responding to the buyer in the Open Case portal. I wish there was an option to Resend Same Item, but I don't see that option. Thanks

A buyer just purchased two items from me, a $50.00 item and a $28.00 item. Both have been paid together. I'm just preparing a shipping label and I notice that the $28.00 item is now detailed as only $10.00 on the buyers Paid details page??? The buyer only paid $60.00 instead of $78.00 How did this happen and will ebay fix this???

I advertised an item and someone bid for it and won the auction but did not pay me. EBay emailed me to say that I didn't have to do anything and they had cancelled the transaction as the buyer was false but it is still left on my sold list and I do not 'now how to remove it

We are an old company starting a new venture on eBay for overstock. The issue we are having is shipping from Canada to USA. Our prices are competetive, however shipping usually is the deciding factor on whether a page visit converts to a sale (in my opinion). For smaller less affordable items sometimes our shipping is more expensive than the product itself. Do you have and hacks, or tips on how to keep shipping down? I currently pay for signature on delivery and use FedEx Ground for international shipping. Most of our items are bigger than the 500g, 2cm letter mail as they are new commecial truck parts. Hello, Woke up to a previously frequent buyer from Italy (who hasn't bought for a while since eBay stopped allowing Buyer to Contact for Costs feature) asking if I could ship there again. I had stopped since there kept being more and more problems and didn't want the extra hassle. With no one asking I stopped investigating it any further. I know I had received an email from Canada Post saying effective October 1st there were going to be changes to Shipping to Europe with a new Electronic Advanced Data being put in place to have items pre-reviewed before they arrive. From what I could see in the email from CP, along with all the buyer and seller info (which has always been there and not a problem), the HS Tariff Codes most be used (I can do this for dolls) but the thing that concerned me was they said the details on item had to be very specific. Example they gave is you can't just say "Shoes" you need to also include Brand/Material/Colour, etc. In my case I sell dolls (which is what I would have described) now they need all the extra specifics? Anyone shipped to Europe recently (October) and come across the extensive item details? I looked back a bit because I thought it was talked about here but couldn't find it. Thought I'd check before I start working on the dinner! And if you are reading this today Happy Thanksgiving! Thankful for all you helpful folks out there!

The buyer backed out at the last minute while I was preparing it for shipping. I really don't mind cancelling the order and giving a refund since the item is not cheap and now there's a higher chance of "item not as described" if I ship it. The problem is this shipping label I already paid for. I know I can cancel the transaction of the shipping service if I purchase it at the post office, but I don't think it's possible with snap ship since I can't even get a hold of customer office. I wonder most is that is it possible to change the receiver's address? I have another sale that the buyer's location is only a hour away from the original address. The province is the same, but of course the postal code is different. The original packaging is much heavier and bigger, so the cost wise, it's covered. Is there any way I can salvage this label? Hello, I have just encountered a problem with a sale that I made yesterday Sunday October 1st to the buyer: katherine Richerkathric-6018. Ella bought me a box of the game yesterday: The Legend of Zelda Oracle of Seasons (Game Boy Color | GBC). The problem is that today is the first time I have shipped by paying a label on Ebay! I'm really not used to it and without knowing it I paid 5 times for shipping: Canada Post Expedited Lite at $8.57 instead of just 1 time. I apologize, I didn't think that the payment would go through so quickly each time without going through any other steps and I didn't realize that I had paid for shipping so many times. Normally shipping should have cost me $8.57 and here it cost me: $42.85! Could you please reimburse me for the shipping costs of the 4 other transactions that I should not have paid, i.e. $34.28? I apologize, this is my first time creating a shipping label myself and I only wanted to use it once, not 5! Usually when I make transactions on Ebay it is to buy items and before paying for it I have to go through other steps such as connecting to PayPal! And there the payment was done automatically after printing the label, I didn't expect that and it was the first time I was confronted with that! Ebay told me to contact you: Shippo to request a cancellation request for the 4 other labels and a refund.

Looking for help with a reocurring issue I'm having buying and printing labels from eBay. For reference, I'm using Munbyn ITPP941U thermal label printer that uses 4x6 labels. I have tried both Canada Post and Fedex labels through eBay and am having similar problems. Essentially the preview looks fine, it's filling the entire page. When I generate the shipping label (doesn't matter if I click print or download) I get a page that has the 4x6 label up in the top left corner of the page (essentially taking up 4x6 on a 8x11 page). I have tried many things to get the label to fill the page: - Custom dimensions/zoom -> print goes off the page and left margin is massive - saving as a pdf to try to edit -> need to pay for acrobat pro to crop a pdf (not willing to cut into my margins to do that) - selecting the label to try to get it to just print the label and not the white space -> doesn't work on my computer the way it's shown on Munbyn's youtube help channel - making sure 4x6 paper is selected -> it is and doesn't matter - screenshotting the label and adjusting the size in paint and reprinting -> not scannable at the post office My inclination is that the problem is with the pdf generating from eBay because the preview shows a label that fills the page but the label I get only fills 1/4. However, since this is my first thermal printer I don't know if it's a problem with the printer settings? The only advice Munbyn had was selecting the desired print area with your mouse but it didn't work for me. I would buy another printer to alleviate the problem but I'm hesitant because I don't know if its eBay or the printer (or me). For reference, I'm a millenial as is my partner. We both work on computers all day and neither one of us could figure it out.

Is anyone else in Canada having trouble printing shipping labels right now? On my PC I can fill in the all the detials but when I click to purchase it takes me to an error screen: "something went wrong". When I use the app on my phone it won't even get through to the screen where details are entered it just hangs and I need to restart the app. This is super frustrating because the best shipping rates for Canada Post are available through Ebay. Otherwise I need to buy from CP directly and try to claim the difference because Ebay's system is broken. Is anyone else experiencing this issue or have you resolved it?
