I recently started using eBay International Shipping for sales outside of Canada and have been getting bad detailed seller ratings for shipping costs and shipping speed using this service. Doesn't eBay guarantee to remove bad detailed seller ratings because of their service since we have no control over speed or costs? How do I get the bad ratings removed since I have dropped from 5.0 to 4.8 in both categories after receiving bad ratings from US buyers. Any help regarding this would be greatly appreciated.

Hi everyone, A friend of mine lives in BC and has a personal (not business) account with ebay Canada. To his surprise, he has been selling very well this year. So far, he has made about $12000 CAD in net profit. He wants to stop selling before he ends up paying a large amount of income tax. He doesn't have any other sources of income. So he merely relies on his ebay earnings for a living. With $12000 CAD in net profit, can someone please approximate how much tax he will pay the Canadian government next year? A few months ago there was an issue discussed on this board that eBay was placing on many sellers' listings that 'free 4 day delivery' was available when that was not the case. This morning I created some new listings and it is happening again! In fact, not only is this false offer of 'free 4 day delivery' now appearing on the new listings, it is also appearing on my almost 10,000 other listings. I offer to Canadians a free 'economy shipping' option (i.e. Canada Post Lettermail) which, as we all know, can sometimes take weeks. (I also offer 'expedited', which is not free.) I just had someone buy an item for which eBay falsely claimed I offered 'free 4 day shipping', which I will now have to ship expedited, at a considerable loss to me. (The order information indicates that eBay gave the buyer an expected delivery date of May 25-27. This issue appears to only have resurfaced today. The estimated 'economy shipping' delivery dates given to buyers yesterday were accurate.) I have now closed my eBay store until the issue is resolved. Has anyone else been encountering this issue once again?

I have been selling on eBay.com for over 25 years, but lately the charges and complications of selling to foreign buyers has become too excessive due to the changes in the tariff and small amount changes to the American system. I would like to change my account from eBay.com to eBay.ca. How do I do that?

New seller here. When I "sell simliar item" or "create a new listing", my payment and shipping policies are no longer coming up in the dropdowns. It tells me to create a new policy. The policies I created were working fine up to this point. I have tried Google and Safari, I have tried logging out/in, I have checked my policies and personal information, I have cleared my history and cache and I have tried revisting listing from drafts. I would appreciate any guidance. Thank you!

I recently sold a $3000 watch on eBay to a buyer in Switzerland. The item was shipped to the buyer with a signature required on the tracking. Upon receiving the package, the buyer told me that there was no watch in the package and sent me a photo of the package being ripped open and insinuated that Canada Post had stolen the watch from the package. However, upon contacting Canada Post, they told me that the package was 200 grams when dropped off and at customs, which refutes the buyer's claim that the watch was stolen unless done so at the last stretch. The buyer then opened an INR claim, which I lost somehow, as the case was being handled by eBay Germany. Apparently, at eBay Germany, items with valid tracking and signature required proof of delivery don't constitute enough proof. I then contacted eBay numerous times for an appeal, which was again denied by eBay Germany. Even though eBay North America agrees that this case should have been decided in my favour, I am unable to get my $3000 back from eBay Germany, as they repeatedly deny my appeals and claims. I am at a lost at what to do and would like to receive any help from the eBay selling community as to how I can resolve this case. Thank you guys

is anyone else been having a spike in orders from blocked countries recently ? i use business policies and i have a large quantities of blocked countries that i do not wish to ship to, yet im at the 6th or 7th order this week from various blocked countries and each time i verified my business policy was correctly applied to that listing and that the specific country was blocked. i called ebay about it of course but while ive yet to get a comeback on that i still get those orders in

Hello eBay community, My funds are on hold because a buyer opened an item not received request. But in a previous message, he admitted that his address was incomplete. So that explains why the order cannot be delivered. Any idea what I should do with that? I fear that if I don't refund the buyer, eBay will take his side anyway and refund the buyer using my funds and that will affect my seller reputation.

Hi We have contacted Ebay about this but it is still happening, When we print our shipping label for a small packet it always prints out as 5x5x5 cm. This morning it happened again we put 19x15x2 cm and it printed 5x5x5cm. Anyone else have this happening?

I'm new to eIS. I joined ebay specifically for the ease of shipping to the US. I had been searching for my items in incognito from .com and noticed my items weren't coming up. I checked some of my listings and the US is in my excluded eIS countries for some reason. Anyone know why and what I could do to fix it?

I'm having an issue trying to get my abilty to list on ebay back. In the verification step it will not accept my street address as valid - that address is on my drivers licence and as a street address in my banking info. Spent 3 hours in a chat with ebay and didnt get a solution. Any ideas as to what address source they are looking at to compare. I am "sort of rural" and have differnt mailing and street addresses which adds to the confusion.

I sold an expensive trading card to a buyer overseas in Europe. Ebay had already labeled my posting as Authentic Guarantee. I purchased the shipping label from Ebay and it was priority posted to the buyer. A few days later I get a request for a refund from the Buyer saying the card is different from what I sold them. I only have 1 such card of this value so it is not possible for me to confuse the order. The Buyer states they filmed the collection of my package from the postal worker to the opening of the packet and the card is totally different (they claim the card they received was a 1/1 autographed card which would have superior value to the card purchased from me), but believe it is a fake. They attached a grainy photo of low resolution of the card they received to the Dispute Resolution. Odd that the Buyer seemed to know it was probably fake the moment they got it, without getting it checked by an authenticator. The whole thing seemed so pre-meditated to me. Who films getting the package at the door and the opening of it unless you knew you were going to find an error or dispute issue. I think they must have been the recipient of buying a fake card and want to use me to get their money back. Because eBay had already Authenticity Guaranteed my card it meant the card did not go to an Authenticator as other cards of mine have. I feel the customer knoew this would avoid eBay's inspection and they could perpetrate this fraudulent claim. My real concern is I know that I sent the card the buyer ordered but am sure Ebay is going to side with the Buyer despite my insistance. Is this a scenario that happens often? I am concerned because I ultimately paid ebay $200 to faciltate this transaction. Now I fear I am going to be out not nly the card but also the money the buyer sent.

The buyer left negative feedback because (someone) messaged them on behalf of me stating that I don't sell to Americans after the sale had already been completed. We were both refunded .... but the item is missing. This seems highly unusual even in this day and age of eBay!

Hi been selling for a few months now some items I sell are popular in England/UK but wont show up for them issue I'm having is my ads do not show up on ebay England/UK reading online I need to pay for "International Site Visibility" need to go into "Advanced Listing Form" but cant find out how to do it I'm on Windows 10 when i'm in my listing setting I cant find the advance form anywhere I'm a Canadian seller, I've sold worldwide to a few overseas places just fine just frustrating that my ads will not show up on ebay England/UK reading online its a common issue only fix I think is pay for the site Visibility but having a hard time finding it no online forms been helpful just so stressful tbh, I'm a visual learner so if this option is still around and will make my ads show up on ebay England/UK once I pay for it please post photos of step by step please and thanks

I have been using EIS since it was introduced in Canada and appreciate it, but this weekend I've been having buyers get messages "contact seller for shipping" and no invoice. With EIS they send the invoice and take care of shipping. I have contacted 2 agents who don't know how to help. I'd appreciate any advice on this, thanks!

I cannot access international shipping. My profile shows that I am enrolled. I'm assuming this is also a glitch. I have tried to contact eBay repeatedly. The AI tree either tells me that there are no agents available or that I am calling outside of business hours. Oddly, I have been calling at various times throughout the day. Frustrating is right! I understand that computer programs can have a glitch or two, but not being able to contact support is just bad business in my opinion.

Over the past couple of days I've been getting this shipping bug with UPS when creating a listing. It doesn't appear to matter what I put in for the dimensions, it's always "exceeding the service limit". Only appears to affect the domestic UPS option. International is fine. Anyone else experiencing this?

As a regular seller, I've noticed ever since I signed up for the EBay Global Shipping Program, my international Buyers are being hit with ridiculous Shipping cost which I later need to refund. I enter all dimensions and weight correctly for listing, select the UPS Standard USA as Shipping for Americans, or Canada Post Tracked Intl Package (non-USA). Perfect example today- an American purchased an item, paid for UPS Standard which came out to $50 plus change, automatically determined by eBay who invoiced Buyer. I purchased a shipping label from eBay with selected shipping method- actual cost was $17 plus change. It was a difference of $33 plus change. This happens regularly. I realize it's in Ebays interest to overcharge (they take a cut of Shipping charges), however, if you're a dishonest Seller of course you'll keep the overage. But what about us honest Sellers who realize high Shipping just kills sales internationally? Ebay leaves this ethical question up to the individual rather than charge actual shipping which they calculate under their own Program. I'd truly like an explanation as the high Shipping charges affects all of our business.

I keep getting this message, although I have selected a shipping method. "Looks like something is missing. Please fix any issues and try again. Domestic shipping cost" in a red box at the top of the page and my listing will not complete. Why has the shipping interface changed? It was simple before as I could just select Canada Post to ship to both US and Canada. It simply doesn't allow me to list even though I have selected a shipping method. Do I have to add an actuall shipping cost? EBay used to do this for a listing automatically. Help please, this is super frustrating!

What is going on with the USPS ? I cannot believe the number of customers who are not receiving their items and I am at a lost to make sense of it. Every week customers open claims for "not received items". I counted 8 in the last 4 weeks. A few of them let me know that the items are delivered sometimes 6 to 8 weeks after I've shipped the items (usually 6X8 envelopes) but a refund has already been issued. I cannot be the only Canadian seller with this 'new' problem. And since it is small amount sales (less than $15) I do not offer tracking which would not be economical for the buyer or me. It is starting to add up and since last November I've issued almost $400 in refunds. Clearly something is going on at the USPS. Are they deliberately slowing down Canadian envelopes ? I NEVER had this happened before
