Since Ebay inserts "SIMILAR ITEMS " in the middle of my listings and before the descriptionn of my item for sale, I fnd that my sales have dropped 95%.
Can anyone suggest how to insert a full listimng with full description with no interference from Ebay?
I am a member for over 25 years, and never experienced such a drop of sales.
There's nothing you can do. Sellers have been complaining about it a lot. It's confusing for the buyer and terrible for the seller, especially if they're paying advertising rates on a per click basis.
That said, I'm not sure how much it would actually affect you with regards to the type of things you're selling. It seems like higher priced items aren't selling too well right now in general, and you don't have many listings or variety of item types up. There may not be many people actually looking for those items right now.
Do any of your items (those hat blocks in particular) fit into the Canada Post prepaid shipping boxes?
That might reduce the cost of shipping which could help a little.
If they do, you could then move to Free Shipping, which means putting your cost of shipping into the asking price for the block.
Which is cheaper a $125 item with $60 shipping or a $185item with Free Shipping?
How about a $125 item with $35 shipping or a $160 item with Free Shipping?

I'm not sure the boxes would work, but it's worth considering.
Mostly though, I suspect you are selling into a very small market.
Are you also using hobby sites and etsy?
Other selling sites are also interfering with sellers' listings by throwing other company/business/seller "ads" within the item listing so this seems to be the direction selling sites have taken and we sellers just have to put up with it if we want to use said selling site.

This was eBay's creative way of saying...Congratulations....You have gotten a potential buyer to your listings. We hope you have the lowest price on eBay with the best description or that buyer needs to go elsewhere. Putting it right up top, instead of down lower just makes it easier for those buyers to run away. For most long time eBay sellers this is an interesting marketing technique. It would be like going into your favourite neightbourhood store and them handing out flyers for the competion!!! 😟

As a long time seller, in the past I used to regularly have buyers come in to check out my listings and scroll lower to see if there was anything else they were interested in. Jump forward to now that scenario hasn't happened in forever.
