I was wondering if there was anyone out there who could help me in identifying a pearl necklace I recently purchased?
It is 24 " and is 14kt white gold and hand-knotted pearls - it feels real and looks like it should to be a salt water set - I just need a bit of guidance.
anyone??????
what should I look for? is there some kind of test? I did the "across your teeth" thing and it was rough and abrasive feeling - and no paint chipped or came off like I have done with glass beads.
It is heavy ......... any ideas? my pictures are not coming out so good but if there was someone who could help me I can keep trying to get the right picture.
anything would be great

Frankly, it is impossible to provide any real information based on your description.
I suggest you visit a jewelry store (or two) in your area - with the necklace of course - and ask them for an opinion.
