Being unilingual and dealing with people from around the world, I use Goggle Translate on a daily basis. It might not always get the translation dead accurate but you generally get a fair idea of what has been said unless there have been spelling mistakes made in the original language.
If you need to use it to translate something from English to another language, be sure not to use slang. And think very carefully how to say something straight, without colloquialisms. This is something that I struggle with. (Spoken English is very silly in that respect.)
Also, many Germans speak excellent English. You might try to contact the seller directly.
