Messages always redirecting to ebay.com

I'm in Canada, so I'm using ebay.ca. That's the website I use and log into.

So why is it that when I try to reply to an eBay member message, I'm being redirected to ebay.com and asked to login again?

I would assume the buyer is located in the USA or registered to ebay.com when this occurs?

Also, you don't mention whether this is a desktop issue or an app issue or a mobile site issue. Are you already logged into ebay.ca when this happens? Is this around a Refund or open case?

Desktop/browser use. And as I said in my initial post, I'm already logged into ebay.ca

I only wanted to reply to a seller for a question about the item I bought.

I did find an easy workaround, that proves it's a flaw in the website itself.

Simply right-click on the "reply" button, select "copy URL/link" then paste the URL into the address bar and change ebay.com to ebay.ca and everything will work as it should.

So the fix has to be done by eBay. After checking the source code, I see they are using "http://contact.ebay.com" instead of "http://contact.ebay.ca" for the links.

If the transaction takes place on another eBay site, the communication follows it. Glad you found a solution that works for you.
