tried to log in today (monday) - got the "server not found" error. In Firefox and in IE. Worked fine yesterday (sunday)

It works for me. Are you typing in the URL or using a bookmark?

Umm- you posted on the dotCA site.
What part is not working?

community.ebay.ca works fine
ebay.ca does not
I keyed it in... google searched it and then clicked the link from the results... etc.... restarted browser. Tried a different browser.
All the same... server-not-found....
again - worked 24hrs ago....

Try this.
At the top right is a head icon.
Click on that.
Then when you sign in to ebay again click on Sell -- again at the top right.
Also-- if you can get to your Active Listings over on the right is another Sell link which has a dropdown.
It's a change and not a helpful one- I mean if I click on Sell wouldn't it be obvious that what I want is the Sell Your Item form?
YMMV
BTW - you will be defaulted to the Simplified form.
It's awful.
If you can see the link in the (again) upper right to change to the Advanced/Business form do so.
It gives more options and is clearer about what is happening.
Also it does not default you into the dying Auction format.

It started working again... just minutes ago.
It could have been a DNS database update in my network.
thanks all!

Everything is fine here.
Just a little slower sometimes.
I've noticed my ISP (internet service provider) is throttling bandwidth.
Also, my internet service was intermittent at times this past Saturday and particularly Sunday morning, as my ISP is obviously doing some sort of maintenance.
A number of ISP and service providers such as Netflix, and MSP (mobile service provider) are throttling back and/or making other changes to support additional load, as more and more people hunker down at home.
If a site doesn't load or you can't log in, try again.

It's not you.
EBay had the hiccups but @tyler@ebay assures us that it is all fixed now.
Go to it, and best wishes for your new business.
