Can you please tell me why all items, even used ones, from the US, now have import charges?

All items do not have import charges.

Any item with a value of over $20.00 Canadian is subject to Canadian taxes

whether they are new or used.  And whether they com from USA or somewhere

else outside of Canada.

If shipped by USPS many times items with a value over $20.00 are not

checked by customs.

Many US sellere are now using the Global shipping system wheras they collect the taxes

due and forward them to Canada .so items with a value over $20.00 do not slip by

this method of shipping.
