eBay charges you a Final Value Fee when an item sells (not when you are paid for it). You are invoiced by eBay once per month, and payment for that invoice is not due for 2 weeks after that. FVF for most categories (if you don't have a store) is 10%
If you sold something and the Buyer has not paid you, you can open an Unpaid-Item case after 4 days to claim the fees back because the sale fell through.
