How does a seller send an item without gsp?

If a seller were to opt out on gsp, how would they get the item to you without it?

First - and that is the most important point - the listing should NOT offer GSP.

Then, the seller should do what sellers have always done prior to GSP: put the item in the mail (USPS) and mail it to the buyer.

If you bought an item and the seller is willing to jump through hoops for the sale, she can send you a Paypal invoice.

You pay that and she ships via USPS.

Then she sends you a Mutual Cancellation for the original purchase and you agree. Both leave positive feedback.

Note that you are still liable for appropriate  Canadian duty and sales taxes, which make up most of that GSP import fee. While CSBA and Canada Post overlook a lot of imports valued between $20CDN (about $18USD) and $100CDN, you might still have to pay these on your doorstep. Both GSP /Pitney Bowes and Canada Post also levy a service fee. The CPO fee is $10 and the GSP fee is $5.

Unless a new listing was set up without the gsp, (versus just sending a paypal invoice) there would be no need for the original listing to be cancelled.
