Paypal has put a 21 day hold on my account, my feedback is low and I am discusted with the process!

I haved been selling on Ebay for 6-7 years and as of lately have had difficulty with some customers mostly non english speaking and a repeat listing I do that sells continuiously but have had 3 negative feedback in 12 months. Sold about 80 or so of the.  I have lately had a 21 day hold on my account -paypal and am fustrated with the continual unfairness and hopelessness to try to argue with Ebay or Paypal because it just seems to be very very sided towards the buyer.  To improve my ratings and release the hold it says to provide tracking well \i sell scrapbooking items and it is ridiculously expensive to ship via Canada Post or UPS with tracking to the point where it will cost two times more to ship the items/s then the cost of the items, some of my items are only 2-3 '00 so I do not ship trackable unless it is Expediated ro Regular parcel.  Do other Canadians have an altervitive.  Is there a better way of collecting money beside paypal.  I try  to get my sales up, but sales are down down down! Any suggestions, feedback or constructive critisism would be appreciated!

You will recieve all that is in the pictures.  Some items may be substituted with items of same theme, retail price and function.

These two statements contradict each other. Combine that with non-English speaking buyers and you may be setting yourself up.

I also sell items that are "not as pictured" (discount postage that probably won't be the issues pictured, but will be the values).

Would it be possible to box up each of those mixed lots after listing, number them and hold them as is until sale? There would be more work in the photography, I realize, but that is not your immediate problem.

Several of the negs and neutrals mention that they were disappointed with what they received. Have you considered including the weight of the products you will be shipping? Have you considered NOT photographing everything, so there are a few surprises* in the shipment?

Many of the negs and neutrals mention shipping cost. And your Shipping DSRs have definitely been trashed. I suspect that both the neutral and perhaps some positive customers were unhappy with your shipping prices.

And we are all dealing with Canada Post's rates. Sigh.

So, let's try to repair that DSRating.  Can you use LetterMail for some of your small, light shipments (up to 500 grams and 2cm thick). If so, how much are you willing to subsidize shipping to repair your DSRs?

Using Free Shipping gives you an automatic 5 Star Rating for Shipping.

You might not want to use Free Shipping for 500 gram packages to Europe, but if you are offering it within Canada you get the 5 Stars -even if you charge shipping to your foreign customers!

EBay gets really hot about tracking, but in the US, and they are a US company, adding Delivery Confirmation costs the seller less than a quarter.  Not so in the Great White North.

You are right and they are wrong about tracking. In any case, your problem is not a question of non-receipt claims, which is what tracking is useful for.

It seems your customers are expecting more for what they pay and are upset about shipping costs. I hope my suggestions will help you manage your customers expectations.

* I notice you have a store. I assume that you have some deadstock or out of season merchandise around. Or even shop soiled if it is not too bad (open packets for example from those annoying customers who have to touch every freaking thing.)

Hello, I understand your frustrations. I too have been having an identical situation as you. One way you can protect yourself is to enter your Canada Post receipt number. An Ebay employee told me this is proof that you mailed the item since you could not get a tracking number from Canada Post. If something happens, then Ebay or Paypal may ask for a copy of the receipt in question. Hope this helps
