So, its been a while since l sold anything to the USA, but someone bought a coin what weights about 3 grams. Canada post flatly refuses to use ebay when it come to america, so my choices are either UPS or fedex. Fedex are 20 miles away, so a whole gallon of gas going over there, so no way. Ups are a major pain in the bxtt, there’s always a problem. Here’s the message from my buyer: buyer;”Your Item came with $38.00 Shipping due and was refused. Please refund my purchase.” my response: “Hello, l really dont understand what went wrong. l used the ebay shipping tool for the ups purchase and ebay provided the shipping label. l think it best you raise this with ebay as its their problem, via their resolution procedure, that way they can look into it. l will refund if ebay instruct me to. So, is UPS returning the package to me? sorry you had a problem on this.” anyway, enough is enough, l deleted the USA as a shipping option on all of my sales, never again will l ship anything to america.

I've encountered something new today. It seems some sellers prefer to use UPS, especially for items that are larger or heavier. Unfortunately, my experiences with UPS, both buying and selling, have been poor, so I usually steer clear of them. A package from Newfoundland is now four days late. The tracking information only provided the vague explanation of "weather event or unforeseeable circumstances." It stayed in this status for three days before finally moving. Meanwhile, another package coming from Winnipeg appeared to be on schedule... until this morning, when the tracking update indicated a delay: Why would a "Government Agency" detain a delivery within Canada? Something due to a MTO/Police inspection of the transport truck? It's weird. I am used to see this message when it comes to packages coming from another country, but not from another province...

I normally sell lots of small items and I provide shipping discounts since people often buy multiple different items, and these discounts come up when buyers put the items into their checkout cart. I just started seeing this notification come up when I list an item - does it mean my buyers will have to pay for the item, including shipping, right away? That they don't have the option anymore of putting items into the cart and then paying for the whole cart? If so, I'm worried about it having a chilling effect on multi-item purchases, and wonder how to fix it. If this is NOT the case, then what does this change for the buyer? Thanks for any help!

I will be away for 4 1/2 months (135 days) and trying to figure the best way to handle it. I do not want to lose my 2600 listings. Previously for a 3 1/2 month trip, I have put myself on vacation mode for 30 days and then ended all the listings just before the 30 days were up and just before the 90 days were up I did sell similar and put 15 days on vacation where I could get sales. It worked perfectly. My question is when I do sell similar at the end of the 90 days, how do I ensure I won't get any sales. Should I just sell similar for one listing and put time away on. I will be in Europe so different time zone. So this is a summary, time away 30 days, end listings 90 days, sell similar and put on vacation for 30 days. Can I change it later to 15 days and have sales or do I have to leave the 30?

I am losing my mind. I'm filling out everything in the product page and it won't let me save. I'm not sure how the product page even links to the item I'm shipping. I'll attempt to contact support but I have a feeling they'll be useless. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Hello guys, Just wondering from other sellers, which category do you believe is the hardest or most competitive category to sell in? For me it's Auto Parts, I can't seem to get that many sales, but I've been improving my listings, and have an action plan. What about you?

We used Woosh (woosh.ca) for Canada Post Xpresspost labels in September and October 2026, and we want to share what happened so other sellers know before they buy. Woosh told us in writing on October 1: “We simply have a brokerage account with Canada Post and aggregate orders under one negotiated rate.” Canada Post accepted one of our parcels on October 5. Two days later Woosh voided the label, and the parcel was redirected to Toronto and never delivered. A second parcel we shipped on October 9 was never delivered either. We replaced both orders at our own cost. On October 22, 2026 , our commercial Canada Post representative replied to us in writing. We have attached a redacted copy of that email, with our company name, our representative’s name, and our account, tracking and reference numbers removed for confidentiality. The body of Canada Post’s reply reads: “Woosh has positioned itself as a shipping provider offering Canada Post services at flat-rate pricing. The Woosh website also suggests that its services are authorized by Canada Post. These claims are false. Canada Post has no business relationship with Woosh and the labels Woosh provides are not valid Canada Post labels. Shipments using these labels cannot be sent through the Canada Post network. The trust of our customers is paramount, and Canada Post is always working to protect the integrity of our services. We continue to urge all our customers to purchase labels only from Canada Post or an authorized provider listed on Canada Post’s website: https://www.canadapost-postescanada.ca/cpc/en/commercial/technology-partners.page ” On October 21 , a Canada Post agent told us by phone that Woosh used Canada Post labels without consent, Canada Post’s security team found some of Woosh’s tracking numbers appeared fraudulent, and Woosh is not a Canada Post customer or approved partner. We have also spoken with four Canada Post supervisors. On October 28 , Canada Post customer service closed our ticket for one of the parcels. The body of that email reads: “It has been concluded that Canada Post has no business relationship with Woosh and the label is not valid. As no postage was paid, Canada Post is not liable for these shipments. If you wish to advise your bank of the label being counterfeit, you can provide them the file number of the Anti-Fraud centre. At this time, this service ticket will be closed.” In other words, if a Woosh parcel goes missing, Canada Post will not cover it. As of October 28 , we have seen no announcement about Woosh through Canada Post’s official channels, including its website and social media. Everything Canada Post has said about Woosh in writing has come only in reply to us. We have reported Woosh through the National Cybercrime and Fraud Reporting System and disputed a charge with our card issuer. If you have used Woosh, check your tracking, keep your receipts and labels, and contact your card issuer. ***UPDATE***

Regular buyer of many years. Address changed from Box number to street address in just over a week between orders. Spider senses said check with buyer. I hate bugging buyers so ignored spider senses and used new address. Arghhh. Today I see it's being returned to sender because forwarding address has expired. The silver lining is that instead of sending an ebay message I gave him a call, it is usually nice to actually talk to the folks on the other end. As is almost always the case a very nice fellow. His PO is going through an audit at the moment (the street address is actually correct) so it might just be being held, he's going to check that and we have things all worked out if it does end up coming back to me. So while following spider senses would have made things a lot easier, the phone call in the end helped build a better relationship with this buyer.

Once again, EBay takes another step back on features for sellers. Now on your Orders page it only shows the total number of orders and the running sales total has dissappeared. Just like the Advanced Search that used to let you search your items by a price range, another feature that I used alot is gone. Yeah, yeah, Ebay reports. Having the sales totals for 90 days, this month, last month, this year, last year allowed you to quickly track and compare your $ sales totals with a couple of clicks. Maybe removing that is the point. Some sellers are having a hard time based on their product categories. Lots have left altogether. EBay, if you're listening or even care, THIS is a FAIL.
