I am shocked how bad shipping has become for buyers. It appears every item bought outside of Canada goes through a third party to a shipping hub where it waits endlessly for a full container load. In the current buyer market, this doesn't seem a very smart decision. I will use Ebay as a last resort only, if I cannot get it anywhere else, as any other selling platform or online retailer provides a much better and quicker shipping experience. There really isn't an incentive to buy on Ebay this point. Sure, sellers will come up with the "Ebay is forcing us" story. Well that's not really my problem as a buyer. FB market place allows me to buy a lot of things I would have bought on Ebay locally with fast direct shipping or local pick up. yesterday at 2:24 PMlast reply yesterday at 7:19 PMhotshades2seeebay international shipping program does anyone use the ebay international shipping program? i opted out of it because ebay was charging huge shipping fees to buyers. and no one was buying. 2 weeks agolast reply 3 days agomusicyouneedCombined shipping - Buyer didn't do it right. Buyer bought 2 CD's from me. One from .ca and one from .com. He paid for shipping on the .com but did pickup on .ca so didn't pay shipping. He lives in Ontario and I am in BC, so pick up is quite impossible. I have this on my listings: To take advantage of combined shipping savings, you must use the shopping cart to combine items and pay for them. eBay automatically calculates the combined shipping savings. There will be no combined shipping refunds for individual payments. Note that Canadian$ and US$ purchases have to be combined separately. As a seller there is not much of a savings sending 2 CD's as opposed to 1. I charge 2.50 more for the 2nd CD because of weight, if they do combined shipping on one platform. Now they can't do that on both platforms. So any savings for the seller disappear. So my buyer only paid for one shipping, not the other. What would you do? I am out about $3.00 in shipping and fees the way he did it. Now that is not much but when you are dealing with cheap CD's it makes a difference. 6 days agolast reply 6 days agogaodri_31gazzaod1958 My title is memorabilia 6 days agosylviebeeQuestion About Shipping to Europe I just posted this as part of another thread but removed that post. The listing states it may not ship to my area and I need to contact the seller. I did this. The Seller says they are part of the internatinal shipping program with eBay and when checking out it shjould give me the shipping options. Seller: Thank you for reaching out to us. We participate in Ebay's international shipping program so you should be able to purchase through that program. It should be offered when you go to make the purchase. When trying to Check out I got the error Unfortunately, this seller won't ship this item to SK, Canada. You can:- Update your shipping address and try again.- Or find similar items from another seller. I sent his to the seller, and he replied that he checked into this and that eBay says they dont ship to Saskatchwan Canada - Which I know is wrong. Seller: I had to do some research. Unfortunately, Saskatchewan is not supported by Ebay's International shipping program. There are a couple of Canadian provinces that are banned under the program. You would have to find a seller that handles international shipping outside of Ebay to purchase from. There is just too much redtape with customs and shipping which is why we only shsip internationally through Ebay's program. Until Ebay adds your providence into the program, we are not able to ship to your address. Can anyone help me direct the seller on how to correct his listing to allow me to purchase this? Thanx. 2 weeks agolast reply 2 weeks agogreat_north_marketJoining eBay's International Shipping Program I'm eager to expand my business and take advantage of eBay's International Shipping Program, but I'm not quite sure where to start. Additionally, how has being part of the program impacted your sales and shipping efficiency?
