Advice on Selling High-End Camera Equipment
I'm considering selling my Canon 100-400mm lens 4.5-5.6 L II IS USM and would love to hear your thoughts and experiences on selling high-end camera equipment. Have you sold expensive gear before? What platforms or methods have you found most effective? How do you ensure a safe transaction for both parties? Any tips on pricing and advertising would also be greatly appreciated!

eIS Replacing GSP on eBay UK
Looks as though eBay UK is finally mothballing the old Global Shipping Program and replacing it with their version of eBay International Shipping. https://community.ebay.co.uk/forum/announcements-28/topic/ebay-international-shipping-is-coming-to-the-uk-50871/ I haven’t looked at it that closely yet, but from what I can see, it ships to the same extensive list of countries as the US version does. There’s currently a £900 limit on the value of shipments, though, and that seems to have raised hackles with sellers.

Free Shipping
I sent out a 10% offer to a potential buyer and he came back with can I also give him free shipping which is another 60%, total 70% off. I don't want to give him too snarky a response but Canada Post doesn't give me free shipping. How would you respond?

Closed return by accident but I printed out the return label before I closed it and eBay said I can still return it for a refund.
I closed a return for a resealed possibly counterfeit item by accident. I called eBay and spoke to ace on August 7th today at 10:43 am and he stated to me since the return was closed but I still had the return label I can still ship it back to the seller and once it’s marked as delivered that they have to refund me. Is this ok?

send an offer duration
Does anyone know how long a sent offer stays open with a potential buyer? I vaguely remember some years ago having a sale a few days after putting my store on vacation, coming from an earlier offer. Usually I won't send out offers a week before leaving.

Combined shipping - Buyer didn't do it right.
Buyer bought 2 CD's from me. One from .ca and one from .com. He paid for shipping on the .com but did pickup on .ca so didn't pay shipping. He lives in Ontario and I am in BC, so pick up is quite impossible. I have this on my listings: To take advantage of combined shipping savings, you must use the shopping cart to combine items and pay for them. eBay automatically calculates the combined shipping savings. There will be no combined shipping refunds for individual payments. Note that Canadian$ and US$ purchases have to be combined separately. As a seller there is not much of a savings sending 2 CD's as opposed to 1. I charge 2.50 more for the 2nd CD because of weight, if they do combined shipping on one platform. Now they can't do that on both platforms. So any savings for the seller disappear. So my buyer only paid for one shipping, not the other. What would you do? I am out about $3.00 in shipping and fees the way he did it. Now that is not much but when you are dealing with cheap CD's it makes a difference.

International Shipping Program
I'm located in Canada & want to use the international shipping program to ship the buyers purchase to the Ontario hub. I just want to have the international shipping program as the only option on the shipping page. Not the default where it shows a few different shipping options the buyer can choose from. I hope that makes sense ^_~ Any help is greatly appreciated, thanks for your time!

Could Not Open Case for Refund

Hi guys, would need some advice here. This is my first time facing this issue. I could not open case for an international refund even the estimated delivery dates has passed. I am sure that my parcel is lost on the way to my country and has verified it with my local pos. The seller is also non contactable as he did not reply to any of my message. Please share some opinion or guide to help me on opening the case for refund. Thanks :)

SPEAKER TWEETERS FAILED TO PASS INSPECTION AND EBAY CANCELLED THE SALE !
I recently sold a pair of videoton soft dome speaker tweeters that were destined to be shipped to the UK , it was shipped using the EBAY GLOBAL SHIPPING SYSTEM , shortley after it arrives at their shipping hubs and then i get a message from EBAY stating the sale is cancelled , buyer refunded , i get to keep the sale funds . after enquiring for an explanation i was told that the tweeters posed some sort of risk and violeted customs safety regulations !!! i suffered no loss and the tweeters were destined to be DESTROYED !!! DOES ANYBODY KNOW WHAT IS GOING ON HERE ?

Recently returned to purchase on Ebay but not impressed
Recently returned to buy some items on Ebay after a pause of over a year. I am shocked how bad shipping has become for buyers. It appears every item bought outside of Canada goes through a third party to a shipping hub where it waits endlessly for a full container load. In the current buyer market, this doesn't seem a very smart decision. I will use Ebay as a last resort only, if I cannot get it anywhere else, as any other selling platform or online retailer provides a much better and quicker shipping experience. There really isn't an incentive to buy on Ebay this point. Sure, sellers will come up with the "Ebay is forcing us" story. Well that's not really my problem as a buyer. FB market place allows me to buy a lot of things I would have bought on Ebay locally with fast direct shipping or local pick up.
