Has anyone heard of this new shipping company called WOOSH that offers $10 Xpresspost shipping for all parcels under 5kg through Canada post?

Please share your policies for shipping in Canada and USA for item under 250g and over 250 grams. I'm not too sure what to select when there are so many options. For example, do you choose Canada Post Regular, Calculated, Expedited...? Which ones do not eat up all of your profits? Thanks all

Using my own shipping pre and post end of de minimis for 9 years, and over 10,000 packages successfully delivered, not one lost. Sure some have had very long trips with heaps of stress associated, but eventually all were delivered. Since starting with eIS, four have been completely lost: three to the US, one to Europe. All via Ascendia from the hub. I don't have numbers to estimate a percentage but from the top of my head the number of shipments is at 100 or less. That's a minimum of 4%. I've kept all the sales revenue of course - however those are customers that will most likely never buy items through eIS again.

Got this buyer refused 1st delivery attempt not wanting to pay tariffs. Without procession of the parcel at that point Opened a item not as described case Clearly stating he is doing this to avoid paying tariffs. I called ebay the next two days. At least 3 reps told me to ignore the request, wait until tbe 3rd day to ask ebay to step in because obviously he was making a false claim. On 2nd day the buyer paid the tariffs , item delivered. Not a single word from him. I noticed the delivery. Call ebay again. Talk to multiple reps with them reconfirm the do not respond instruction to me. On 3rd day during midnight. Case automatically rule in buyer favor. I call in to seek help. Rep told me they are on it. 4 hours later i found out no appeal was filed. Did it myself. Few hours after. Appeal declined. Final. Reason? I never responded. That is not remotely fair isnt it? I follow what ebay told me to do an is being blame and penalize of it. Some one from ebay management needs to see this. I have another buyer with similar situation Following this with reps also tell me to do the ignore don't respond. I dont want to get screw back to back.

Okay, so I tried EIS, and people in USA were sending parcels back, since eBay uses UPS to ship across the border from the EIS hub. So they would get an email statingthey owed like $35 or 40 on a simple $30 item. So I opted back out. I set up my own rate scale and business policies for USA using Zonos to pay the tariff on my end and a Canada Post label so that it shipped directly across to the USA without border fees. This works! So my business policy has weight classes, 3 of them, and I charge a certain amount for each. I have Canada Post Lite, CP tracked package, Canada Post Regular parcel and Canada Post expedited as USA buyer options. If and when a Sale goes through, the buyer selected say Canada Post Tracked packet (which is mostly the weight class I sell in), BUT it automatically comes up ONLY showing UPS and Fedex on my ebay labels. Fine! But not fine. ** So fine, I go to Zonos manually, pay the tariff fee on my end, go to CP and buy a label on Snapship, it ships and all is well, even if it is a hassle. BUT, on the USA eBay site for my business it flashes a HUGE warning, Tariff and duty fees may apply at border, may take two weeks to deliver! So people are scared off. Could you not have an option somewhere to TOGGLE whether a seller uses THEIR OWN WAY to manage tariffs and Canada Post so we can assure them there will be no fees? They are literally scared right off with that big flashy warning on all of our items. Just like you have a toggle to use EIS or not, can we not have the option to use our own Zonos and Canada Post option or however you word it? There is zero issue for small sellers like me to use Zonos and Canada Post, I have zero problems because CP hands off the parcels with prepaid tariff directly to USPS, and UPS is not involved or Fedex etc. Another issue is, even if it's a Canadian sale, eBay does not show Canada Post shipping, how come? For any Canadian sale it should automatically show the Canada Post shipping label and my discount rates for domestic. I have it set up in my business policies to indeed show Canada Post as the preferred shipping method, and UPS is second option. Why doesn't it show my CP discounted rates when I go to buy a Canadian label? It seems to default to UPS. Well that's my rant. I think eBay scares the bejeepers out of USA buyers who are always looking at my items, often get offers but keep saying they don't like the tariff thing. The tariff thing is NOT a big deal really unless you're selling HUGE weights of say metal or Chinese products that weigh a ton. Otherwise it's not even a big deal. Once again, EBay takes another step back on features for sellers. Now on your Orders page it only shows the total number of orders and the running sales total has dissappeared. Just like the Advanced Search that used to let you search your items by a price range, another feature that I used alot is gone. Yeah, yeah, Ebay reports. Having the sales totals for 90 days, this month, last month, this year, last year allowed you to quickly track and compare your $ sales totals with a couple of clicks. Maybe removing that is the point. Some sellers are having a hard time based on their product categories. Lots have left altogether. EBay, if you're listening or even care, THIS is a FAIL.

Canada Technical Issues and Suggestion Forum @devon@ebay Would it be possible to give Canadian sellers the option to opt out of eIS on the listing page on a case by case basis please? Versus having eIS be the default method when we don't know which items qualify for the program. This should be easy to address/rectify in programming. If anyone else feels this will work for them please add your John or Judy Hancock to this post so we can get a consensus. We also NEED CP eBay Labels discounted options turned OFF for sellers wishing to use direct US shipping. Defeats its purpose when buyers can choose a discounted service that sellers are UNABLE to utilize...since August 2025.

It's frustrating- I buy and sell a lot of coins from the US and globally.  I understand the logic of eBay collecting GST/HST- because the government is losing money.  The issue is they don't understand Canadian tax/duty laws.  There is no tax/duty on silver/gold coins, with some exceptions.  Now - what happens is you call them- after you pay for the item- or even before you pay, they encourage you to pay- and you will be refunded the taxes.  They say the 'tax department' is swamped, so that it may take a day or two.  I've been waiting for almost THREE months, and not a dime has been refunded.   I call them- and I get the run-around- again- and am told that the issue would be marked 'high priority' and thanks for the call- then nothing.  I can't be the only one this happens to.  It's particularly sad for those who are just getting into coin collecting and don't know they are overcharged- and those who want me to do something.  All I can do is refer them to eBay for the run-around.   So eBay- question- what are you doing with all the extra revenue you are receiving- that isn't going to Revenue Canada?

I tried to drop off a package at the Mississauga eIS address and the representative at the door informed me that they do not scan packages upon receipt at drop off. This is an issue as I do not want a false late shipment status as a result of the shipping company not scanning my package at drop off. He informed me that sometimes depending on the time they do not scan packages until the next day. There needs to be a solution to this issue as it can create a late shipment status or worse they could possibly loose the package and there would be no proof that I dropped it off in person to the warehouse directly in person. PLEASE CREATE A PROCESS THAT CONFIRMS PACKAGE DROP OFF IN THE MOMENT.
