I have had a starter store since 2020 and am debating on whether or not it is worth keeping. It costs roughly $84 CAD per year to keep but I never list more than 80 listings and will never come close to 250 listings. Much of my business model is repeat sales of high margin sales in the 25-200$ range. The only benefit I get from it currently is a professional looking storefront and URL. I am wondering if this is worth the cost. Im leaning towards keeping it because this is the main place I sell my products and enjoy looking professional but im open to walking away from it. I also recently lost TRS for the first time after having it for 6 straight years because I have 96 instead of 100 transactions (old avg was 115-145 at any given time but now its 88-105 avg. ) no other issues, just a few transactions short and calculated ill now be hit with roughly 200-250$ per year in extra fees now and likely lose some more sales due to losing TRS via algorithm (kick em while theyre down mentality) This has caused me to find ways to cut costs and dead weight as much as possible in all facets of my business. I feel like I might be able to regain TRS status in the future but it will be a bumpy road and it wont be secured as easily as it once was. Please share your thoughts and experiences. thanks

Just checked my UPS charges that came out of my account today and everyone one of them was overcharged from the original shipping labels I puchased.  In most cases it was under a dollar but 2 of them I had going to the eIS hub in Mississauga were overcharged by 8.76 each.    Anyone else having this problem?

I purchased a Network Switch and eBay International Hub liquidated it, eIS straight up refusing to ship to Canada yet holding payment for weeks. When I got refunded, I already lost $40 from exchange rate fees. eBay customer service repeats "it was refunded" and don't care. When you see this message: "Unfortunately, your item can not be delivered because it did not pass inspection at our international hub." What does this mean? You likely ordered from Consumer Electronics, Computer Components & Parts category eBay is following some eWaste regulation by Trump administration, refusing to ship items which may end up in "China" eBay is conflating "Canada" with somehow being avenue for export to "China" and overstepping What can I do about it? Buy Canadian Ask sellers to ship directly but 99% won't eBay international shipping has become unusable, unless you're buying trinkets.

In the past 10 days I've bought three items from the US: two vintage disk drives (40+ years old) and a homemade vintage computer accessory. All three have been stopped in their tracks as "unable to deliver". No explanation. I've seen a suggestion that this is the latest spanner in the works by D. Trump, an e-waste policy aimed at preventing critical minerals from going to China ( https://kotaku.com/trumps-new-e-waste-policy-has-vintage-tech-collectors-anxious-theyll-be-caught-in-the-crossfire-2000722706 ). I've received refunds for the drives and though eBay is looking into the third item I assume that will be the outcome there too. Until someone comes to their senses I won't be buying from the US. I don't spend time and money buying something in order to get a refund. I want the item. Surely there's a difference between a huge shipment of so-called e-waste and a single item.

I received a return request for a faulty CD from a buyer in the US. I don't want the CD back and I am going to give him a full refund. But want to send him a message that I do check each CD with EAC to check for errors but sometimes the CD is just faulty and it doesn't show any errors. What would you say to this person? I don't want to discourage him from buying used CD's. Visually, the CD looks great, but I tested on 3 different CD and Blu-ray players. It plays back with horrible scratchy surface noise like an LP. I m not sure what it is - perhaps a refurbished CD that wiped away some of the data? Sometimes the playback is so bad that the player skips parts of the songs. It is across the entire album, on multiple tested systems.

Hello all, I’m looking for answers on yet another feebay disaster before I close my account for a second and final time. No help from customer service. I cancelled a sale, refunded the buyer, and voided the shipping label. (UPS for some reason) Now feebay is trying to collect the shipping cost and fees. Even UPS hounded the buyer and myself after explaining to a representative that there is no shipment. Oh how I miss the early days of penny auctions and simple transactions! I’ve really had it this time. Rico Since posting I’ve found a few similar posts… seems to be happening a lot?

I have noticed since DEC 2025 when i started to use more often ebay canada lables that when you scroll down to purchase the lable, it does not have a section option to select method of payment. Thus i click to purchase the lable and get billed like 10-15 days later. iv been told by others should be able to pay at that said time upon purchasing a lable no matter the shipping provider selected. The other thing if i created and purchased a lable for $12.85 when i do get billed i get charged more then what it was showing originally. Ebay reps cant give answer to the issue and its now September. All packages i always add extra weight and size measurements thus im always over the actual size weight being sent. but i get charged more then what is shown on the Ebay page 10-15 days later, This has been going on since DEC 2025 the amounts sometimes are $0.10 cents to high $2.25 in when i purchase the lable to when Ebay bills me for it. Has any one had similar issues, how was it resolved??

@devon@ebay Just did a test on a long ago created listing with multiple units. It appears calculator is no longer doing the math. sample listing attached. Rates DO NOT update when you modify purchase quantity within the listing. https://www.ebay.ca/itm/155112025487?var=455291145335 Did not test from purchase screen. Checked personal settings and they were fine. "Combine all weights" is set. Appears shipping screen in listing no longer has a quantity box. ( Shipping, pickup, returns, and payments form). With flat rate items and multiple units it states how much additional charge would be (where applicable) but DOES NOT do the math. This could cause buyers potentially paying incorrect shipping/handling charge(s) if system is not doing math (across the board).

I sold a $5 stamp with letter mail shipping. Somehow it went through EIS and the EIS address is provided. Stamps are NOT ALLOWED to be shipped via EIS. This happened once before for no obvious reason so I contacted the buyer and we agreed to cancel the transaction and for me to relist it which I did and he purchased it and it went through fine that time. This time the buyer has not responded and it is 2 days pat the date to ship. What should I do? Cancel due to a problem with address?
